Chapter 9

" Tell me where she is" the doctor exclaimed. The man in suit lay on the ground, bloodied and bruised by the punches of the doctor. "I... I don't know. I told you already sir... I don't know where she is" the man stuttered. The doctor spun around and began to laugh manically. The girl, who was standing off to the side, took a step back. She had been traveling with the doctor for several years but she had never seen him this crazy. "Well then if you don't know, then I guess we're going to have to find out what you know" the doctor exclaimed, a devious grin on his face.

  I quickly began to make my way to the roof elevator. If Shield was at our compound, the we needed to move quickly. I handed my bag off to the nearest scientist scrambling towards the exit. I wasn't too worried about losing Chan's blood. I had already memorized the codes and the formula to recreate the compound needed to stabilize our centipede serum. As a headed towards the elevator, I heard the sound of running heels and Chan's furious voice. I arrived at the door and pushed the button. When the doors opened I stepped in, and turned to see Debbie turning the corner. She had a look of utter fear on her face and I grinned. Debbie was no more than a simple human being, a weak, pathetic, useless, and insignificant human. And her years of feeling important and needed had all vanished in this one moment. "Raina, please. Hold the elevator. Please" she breathed. I heard Chan's voice close behind. "What have you done to me" he bellowed. Debbie looked at me running, desperately looking for sympathy in my eyes. I refused to give it to her. "Don't worry, Debbie. This hasn't been the first one to blow up in your face" I smirked as the doors closed. Her eyes filled terror as her one way of escape from a super powered fire bomb closed in front of her. I just smirked and imagined Chan burning her alive. The elevator moved up and when it stopped I stepped. I climbed into the black chopper that awaited me on the roof and we were in the air several seconds later. I looked at the complex, which was surrounded by Shield vans and cars. Looks like I had plenty to tell Po. "Where to Miss Raina" the pilot asked. "The Havenworth Federal Penitentiary" I replied. It was time I spoke to Po in person. The Clairvoyant needed to be reached.
