I breathed a sigh of wonderment as the Clairvoyant out out of his barber chair. He seemed too ordinary to be the Clairvoyant, but I knew full well that everything always isn't as it seems.
"Ha, Clairvoyant. I'm afraid not, sweetheart. Clairvoyant was the somewhat exaggerated name given to me by Po. Never really liked that guy".
I stood there for a moment, completely stricken with a mixture of shock, anger, and confusion. "So you don't have abilities" I clarified. "Far from it. My connection with Shield files only made it seem like i did" he replied, brushing his brown hair back. I fought back tears. All my life, all I had ever wanted was to find out what I will become. How I would transform from this feeble and pathetic human state and transcend into a divine angel. And now, I had finally found the man that would give me all those answers. And he was a fraud. My sadness turned to rage and I glared at the man. "So your a fraud" I spat, disdain dripping with every word I spoke. The man gave a slight chuckle. "I never really said I was a Clairvoyant now did I. But enough about me, let's talk about you. You have been an outstanding participant in the Centipede project. Not only were you able to stabilize our Centipede serum, but you have successfully created the perfect supersoilder, and advancing the project to Phase Three". He beamed brightly as if I should have been proud with what I did. I was far from proud. "So if you've done all of those things, then why do you need me" I retorted. "Let me show you" he extended his hand to me. I was almost about to turn and walk out the door, but a look in his eyes told me that if I stuck around a little longer I just might like what he had in store. I slipped my hand into his and I took a seat in one of the barber chairs. As lurched downward and submerged to an underground bunker. There were people bustling, loading weapons testing them, moving crates. It was suprisingly busy. I followed "the Clairvoyant " to a back room where a small lab had been built. Several scientists were probing at dead carcasses on operating tables. "What do you want me to do" I asked quizzically. "Thanks to you, I was able to retrieve a small amount of the veils containing the serum that brought Agent Coulson back to life. I want you to replicate it". He opened a small, white fridge to reveal veils, each mark with GH.325. I stared at the veils for a second. I began to doubt the man that stood in front of me. Then I remembered. Agent Coulson in fact did come back from the dead. If this drug was the miracle serum that commited this supernatural act, then there could be some benefit to studying it, and possibly replicating it. Maybe my quest could take a backseat, not that it would be making a headway anytime soon. Maybe this miracle drug could advance the world into the age of enhanced individuals. "I'll do the best I can" I replied, with a new found confidence. "That's my girl. Welcome to Hydra".
