Lucas couldn't believe his eyes, this couldn't be real.
"Hello, I'm Alexis. I hear that you're the best lawyer for miles around."
Lucas sat at his desk in shock,
"Hello..? Sir?"
"Oh! I'm so sorry. How can I help you Ms.?"
"I'm Ms.Alexis Smith."
Lucas didn't know that Alexa had a identical twin sister. Maybe it was Alexa playing a trick on him. Torturing him before turning him in for murdering her. Lucas was so confused, he didn't know what to do.
"Mr. Black, my twin sister is missing. Well, let me rephrase that, she's dead. I just left the morgue identifying her body," Alexis started crying, "who would do this to her? She was young and at the prime of her life."
There was a knock on the door, "Come in," Lucas responded.
"Lucas, the hospital called. They're releasing Sally today at 12. I'm going to pick her up and I will be taking the rest of the day off to help her get settled in at my place if it's okay with you."
"Sure, go ahead Tresa. See you tomorrow."
"Mr. Black, I need you to help me locate an address book that my sister had in her possession before she died."
"Wait a minute, all you want is her address book? You're not looking for her killer?"
"Oh no Mr. Black, the coroner ruled it as and accidental death, she slipped and broke her neck. The case has been closed if you know what I mean."
Lucas looked at her,
"I know it's you, Alexa. Just tell me why?"
Alexa looked him in the eyes and smirked,
"Okay, you got me. I couldn't stand you anymore. I had to get away from you, especially after you tried to kill me that night."
"You, bitch! How could you do this to me?! Bad enough you were sleeping with my brother, I knew about the little affair you two were having, I turned the other cheek! You could have told me you didn't want to be with me anymore!"
Lucas opened his desk drawer to grab the address book, he then raised it up and slapped Alexa in the face with it.
"Bitch, get out of my office before I have your ass locked up for faking your death!"
Alexa grabbed her address book and left. Lucas was pissed.
Tresa picked Sally up from the hospital and took her over to her house. As Tresa helped her out of the car, Sally asked,
"Tresa, why am I at your house?"
"I want to take care of you until you get well, that's what friends are for."
Sally smiled at her as they walked into the house. Once Sally was settled in and relaxed Tresa asked,
"Are you gonna tell me why you tried to kill yourself?"
Sally let out a loud sigh,
"What?! I, What? That's crazy. What the hell made you think that I would kill myself?!"
"The way the rope was tied to the rails and how I found you hanging. It looked like you did it yourself."
"No, Tresa. I didn't do this to myself!"
"Sally, who did it then?"
"It was Malcolm and one of his many women he cheated on me with! He found my life insurance policy. He's my beneficiary. It's worth 2 million."
"Damn, Sally! That's a big policy. You don't have kids to leave the policy to, I can't believe you put Malcolm down as your beneficiary."
"I don't know, Tresa. I love him no matter what he does to me. I still love him even now, it's like he had this hold on me. I sound pathetic don't I?"
"Yeah, but we all do crazy stuff when we're in love. We can't help who we fall in love with. But that bastard has to pay for what he's done to you."
"What are you gonna do to him, Tresa?"
"Don't worry yourself, Sally. You just relax and get some rest."
Several minutes later there was a knock at the door. Tresa walked downstairs and peeped out the window. Standing on her porch was Mr. Lucas Black himself. Tresa's cheeks turned red. She quickly turned to look in the mirror that hung on the wall in the hallway before opening the door. Tresa swung it open with the biggest smile on her face.
"Come in, Lucas! Can I get you anything to eat?"
"No, thank you. How's Sally doing?"
"She's doing good. She's sleeping right now."
"Good, because I wanted to talk about the kiss."
"Okay, what about it, Lucas?"
"Did you like it?"
"Well Um....um," she began blushing even harder, "yeah I did like it. You didn't?"
"I loved it! I wanted to ask you out on a date."
"I don't know, Lucas. We're coworkers."
"I'm the boss and I say we can date. Damn that stupid law."
Tresa let out a giggle,
"Well, I guess it will be alright."
"Good. I'll pick you up tomorrow at 7 pm."
"Okay, it's a date."
"Good night, Tresa."
"Good night, Lucas. See you tomorrow."
Lucas left Tresa's house, but just as he opened the car door to step in, he was struck upside his head. The culprit put him into the back seat and drove off down the street. After 30 minutes of driving, Lucas woke up rubbing his head. Without making a sound he slowly sat up in the seat just enough to take a look at his kidnapper. It was just his luck, he couldn't see their face. Lucas lied back down in the seat and waited patiently until they arrived to their destination. After driving for an hour, the car stopped. Lucas looked out the window to see nothing but complete darkness. The car door opened and the masked person grabbed him out of the car. Leading him to this big, dark warehouse back up in the woods. Lucas was scared for his life.
Finally they came to a room. The masked person opened the door and pushed Lucas inside and began walking in behind him.
"Who are you? Do you know who I am?"
The masked person didn't say a word back to him.
"Let me go! I have money! Plenty of it if you're looking for a ransom. I can give you however much you need if you let me go. I haven't seen your face so I can't tell on you."
After a while Lucas gave up with his pleas and just sat down in a near by chair. He started to pray. Suddenly he heard a voice as it entered into the room,
"That's rich! A sinner praying to God."
Lucas's eyes widened in fear
