Started smiling to himself as he remembered that night. He remembered that he was a poor traveler years ago, but look at him now, rich and married to his soulmate. He fell in love with Tresa at first sight. She looked very different back then though, she had short, sandy red hair, long legs, a curvy waist with a nice butt. He remembered helping Tresa hang the bodies in the tree, he didn't ask questions, he figured they may have deserved it. When they were done, Tresa kissed him on the cheek and ran off into the darkness of the night, then he disappeared into the night as well. Lucas thought he would never see her again, "I love you very much, Tresa."
She smiled at him, "I love you too, baby."
Lucas wondered if Tresa remembered him, but the only way to find out was to ask her about it. After Tresa made tea, she sat down at the table with Lucas. He started telling Tresa about the memory he had about the two of them. Tresa didn't remember him from that night.
"Maybe you will remember one day," he said.
Two years passed by and Tresa still didn't remember that she met Lucas that night, so she put it to the back of her mind and forgot all about it. She sat at the table drinking tea when the phone rung. Tresa answered, "Hello?"
"Mother is dead," said Addison, "the funeral is in three days here at Burks Manor."
Tresa took a deep breath, "I will be there," then she hung up the phone. Several hours later Lucas walked into the house, "Honey, I'm home!"
He didn't receive an answer back. Lucas put his things down on the table next to the front door and walked into the kitchen, there he saw a note with his name on it sitting on the counter. Lucas picked it up and read it, 'Sally and I went shopping with Mia and Ella. We will be back soon for dinner.' Lucas slammed the note down on the counter with anger, he had to pull himself together. An hour later Tresa and the girls returned from shopping, "Are you hungry ladies?" she asked.
They all replied yes. Mia and Ella sat the table while Tresa and Sally took the food out of the delivery trays and put it in the serving trays and bowls. Tresa went upstairs to get Lucas, "Come on, baby. It's time for dinner."
Lucas let out a loud sigh as Tresa headed back downstairs to the kitchen. It wasn't long before Lucas joined them.
"I'm sure you know everyone here, honey," she said to Lucas.
"I do and hello ladies."
Everyone spoke. Tresa watched Ella's reaction when she found out she was Lucas's wife.
"Ella has some big news! Don't you?" Tresa teased.
Ella shyly responded, "Yes."
"Please go ahead and tell us the good news," Sally budded in.
"Well..," Ella began, "I'm pregnant!"
Everyone cheered, but Lucas wasn't happy about any of this. While everyone was cheering he gave Ella a very evil look as if he was killing her. Ella was embarrassed.
"Oh wait a minute, everyone," said Tresa, "Let me ask you something, Ella. How far along are you pregnant?"
"2 1/2 months."
"Aawwe you're just beginning! Just one more question you little home wrecking whore, is it my husband's baby?"
Lucas sat there not saying a word. He was caught.
"Yes, Tresa. It's Lucas's baby."
Tresa started laughing, "I know where you live. I also know where your parents and your sister live. Your sister has 4 beautiful kids what a lovely family. Now listen to me carefully, ok? Tomorrow you will get up bright and early, get dressed, and I will send a car for you. I need you to go have an abortion and if you don't, I will blow up your parent's house first. So when you get there you will record the entire procedure and then send it to me. Do I make myself clear, tramp?"
Ella was in tears, "Yes, you're clear."
"By the way, Ella you're fired. Now get out my damn house, whore."
Ella jumped up from the table crying as she ran out the door.
"Tresa, don't you think that was harsh?"
Tresa didn't say anything to him she got up from the table and went into the living room. Lucas felt sorry for Ella so he sent a car to pick her up and take her home. He walked into the living room and he could feel Tresa's eyes watching him. Lucas looked back at Tresa and saw the evil look on her face and the anger in her eyes.
"Baby, I'm sorry. It will never happen again, Tresa."
"Damn right it won't, because I'm going to divorce your cheating ass. I'm also leaving. My sister called me and said my mother passed away, so now that my business here is done, I'll be moving back to Burks Manor."
Lucas's heart dropped, "Please don't do this, Tresa. We can work this out! It was a weak moment and you was going through so much."
"And that's when you should've been by my side not laying up with some bimbo. Did you really think I wouldn't have found out?"
"Baby, I need you. Please don't make decisions while you're mad. Please."
Tresa didn't say another word, she packed her things and left. She arrived at the manor that afternoon. On the porch waiting to greet her was Addison and her husband Zayn. Addison hugged Tresa. Then she said, "I'm glad you made it safely. Where is Lucas?"
"He wasn't feeling well so he stayed home. It's only 3 days he can manage without me. So tell me who's here."
"Tresa your the first one to arrive."
Tresa asked Addison did she need any help paying for anything. Addison replied, "Heavens no, the fund here at Burks Manor is over 150 billion dollars."
"Damn, I didn't know the Manor was that rich."
"Tresa, we own stores, bars, we farm- well the hired hands do, we have a lot of income. We own over half the places here and in 3 other county's. Now that Mother is gone I will get the manor remodeled and take this damn sad furniture out of each part of this house and put something new in here to brighten and liven this place up a bit."
Tresa agreed, "I am starving, Addison."
"Okay, okay. Follow me."
They walked into the kitchen where the cook was preparing a very large meal. Tresa grabbed a full plate of food, sat down, and ate everything off her plate. As she walked up to the chef, Ella texted her the video. After watching it, Tresa said thank you the food was delicious. An hour later everyone started showing up. The family had a great time and everyone parted into the early morning. The next day wasn't a good day for Tresa, it was her mother's wake ceremony and Tresa had to speak. She knew what she wanted to say told herself not to lie, but she knew she would lie because she didn't want to destroy her mother's good name and reputation. As Tresa stood at the podium and gave her eulogy, Lucas walked in. She quickly finished and walked over to Lucas, "What the hell are you doing here?! I am done with you!"
"Please, Tresa! I'm nothing without you in my life! You're my heart and my soul. Please forgive me and come back home."
Tresa looked at Lucas, "I'm pregnant," she said, "and I'll take you back, but I want you to promise me that this will never happen again , Lucas. Put it on your unborn baby's life."
"Hell no, Tresa! That's crazy! We all mess up in life. This isn't fair to our child, but I will put it on my life, that this will never happen again."
"Okay, that's even better."
The day went by fast and the night went by faster. It was time for the funeral before Tresa knew it and when it was all over, everyone met the lawyer in the office. Everyone was pissed because Tresa inherited all the businesses along with Burks Manor. Even though everyone got a large sum of money, none of them were happy about the will and Tresa getting what she got. Tresa was shocked and didn't really want the businesses or the Manor but she took it anyway. She didn't change anything. She moved back home and left Madison  in charge of the Manor. She came to visit, but she knew she couldn't live there ever again. Later Tresa had her daughter Marina, but before she knew it ten years had passed by. Tresa thought that it was time to take her to the Manor and let her see where her heritage began. Tresa hated being there, but she needed her daughter to know her history. After 3 days at the Manor, Tresa and Marina packed their things, just as Tresa was about to get into the car, she looked up at her parents room window, there stood her sister's father's spirit staring at her with eyes of darkness. Tresa smiled as she got into the car, because she knew he couldn't hurt her anymore
