• Betty telling Jughead that there will be a big change in their relationship in a few months
• Just fluff for once
• Well, car crash and stuff but only a soft one with minor injuries
• Also, minor make out (and reference to more)"Jughead!" Betty's voice rang in his head. He groaned, having to blink multiple times in order to see something. Everything swam away just a few seconds after though and Jughead found himself losing focus on the blonde, hovering over him, as his vision turned black again.
When he woke up the next time, his head hurt even more, a deafening pounding accompanying his blurry vision. Jughead could only groan softly as he blinked against the light.
As he was able to focus a bit more, despite the bright light, he looked around a bit — finding himself in a hospital room, yet again. Betty was sitting beside him, though was occupied with what looked like a new case file.
"Betts...?" Jughead asked, voice hoarse as he tried to get her attention, his hand sluggishly reaching for hers. He found an IV attached to the back of his hand, fingers having a faint red taint. Upon hearing him, the blonde turned around to smile softly at him as she cupped his face with one hand. The other went to grab his before intertwining their fingers.
"Hey there, you dork... How are you feeling?" Jughead groaned softly, trying to concentrate on his well-being. He couldn't notice anything though, except for his throbbing headache. Well, that meant that he was on some heavy painkillers — which then again meant that he had gotten hurt, somehow, which was obviously why he was in the hospital and Betty looked like she hadn't slept in a long time.
"Uh... I think so...? What happened? What day do we have?" He asked, shifting softly to figure out if he could move alright. It didn't work though and he could only groan again as a weird feeling spread from his ribs.
As he attempted to move, his face scrunching in pain, Betty gently moved her other hand from his cheek to his shoulder to stop him from continuing.
"Easy there, Juggy. You... You had a motorcycle accident, again, so don't you dare move too much" She said, voice stern before sighing softly "It's Thursday today, and you've been asleep for almost two days"
"Oh. Accident?"
"Yeah, you crashed your bike. Do you remember that?" She started and Jughead had to pause for a moment before nodding slowly.
"Yeah? Blurry, I think... Someone drove in my way and I... tried to swerve out and... and hit the... yeah" Betty hummed, giving his hand a soft squeeze.
"Mhm. Thankfully nothing life threatening. Just some broken bones and a heavy concussion, again"
"Sorry, Betts"
"Your ankle needed surgery, though"
"And the rest?"
"The two ribs will be fine in a bit, if you mean that. Your ankle will need some more time though"
"Oh... right... When will I be released then?" He asked next, trying to get the conversation moving to the important part. He hated hospitals. It smelled weird and everything was white and too bright and the food tasted bland and he couldn't sleep with his girlfriend in one bed.
"You'll be released next week... If you behave and listen to the doctors, that is" She replied, which just caused him to groan again.
Even the 24 hours to make sure that he wouldn't die of his concussions were always annoying.
A week seemed unbearable.
"I know you hate it here, but you need to rest and recover. Please don't try to make things even worse" Jughead groaned softly, falling back into the mattress.
