File at the Police Station

Yujin POV

*In the morning*

I woke up and felt a terrible pain in my hand. I tried to get up but I couldn't. I finally got myself into the shower and managed to get ready for work. I went to the hall and saw beomgyu sitting on the sofa. "Good morning Jinnie" he said, "God, I thought it was my mom for a sec!" I said and chuckled. "How's your hand now?" he asked, "Its paining terribly and I can't move it" I said. "Then you must stay home today. It's fine if you miss work for a day, I'll tell Mrs. Han" he said, "No its fine I c-" I was cut off by him "Stay at home. It'll be better" he said and I nodded. Beomgyu got the first aid kit to change my bandages and he slowly unwrapped the ones on my hand. I looked away trying not to yell. When the bandage was off I gave my hand a look and it was swollen with blood all around. He applied ice and cleaned it with a liquid and then applied an ointment and wrapped it with cotton and fresh bandages. I thanked him for the help and then he went for work. "Bye Jinnie" he said, "Bye oppa!" I said and closed the door. I went to the couch and played some shows on TV. Soon later I heard the doorbell. I went and opened the door. It was kai. "Kai?" I said, "Oh Good you're home! You're alone right?" he said, "Yea why?" I asked, "Will you be able to step out for sometime?" he asked, "Sure, why though?" I said, "I thought maybe we could find proof or something..." he said, I nodded and went to get the house keys. I locked the house and went to the park with Kai. We sat on the bench from before. "What happened to your hand?" he asked, "Nothing, just got hurt" I said and he nodded. We tried looking for suicide cases up on the internet and other online platforms. We were searching for a while but found nothing. "Yujin look!" Kai said and showed me something on his phone the headlines said 'Jiho's tragic story' we read through it but it was another Jiho. "What was Jiho's full name?" I asked, "Kim Jiho" he said, "Ok" I said and we continued searching, rapidly typing on our phones. We were searching for around 2 hours. "Kai, I think I'll have to go home... Beomgyu's gonna be back soon and I need to stop by the grocery store" I said, "Okay. I'll call you if I find something" he said.
"One more thing, The other day... When he dragged me home, I told him the reason I was with you was because you wanted to tell me the truth. He said he'll give us one month to make him believe it wasn't you. He also said if we do make him believe, he'll come and apologize to you and I mean I can persuade him to become friends with you again" I smiled, "Wow. Yujin, that's perfect!" he said. We said our goodbyes and went on our separate ways. I went home and cleared up beomgyu's room and the living room. 

I was watching T.V. when I got a text from Byeomgyu. I smiled at the text, it said "Open the door, honey," I kept my phone and opened the door. I was startled by a beautiful bouquet of flowers. "For you" he said, I took the flowers and he came in, "why the flowers all of a sudden" I asked, "I just saw them and they reminded me of you" he smiled and hugged me. 

We ate dinner and we were watching T.V.

I got a call from my mom. Our conversation:

Yujin-ah!
~Mom

Yes Mom?
~Me

Come to the police station quick!
~Mom

Why?
~Me

Your dad and I were driving back from a restaurant and someone clashed into us and ran away! Its a hit and run case! Your dad is badly hurt..
~Mom

I'm coming!
~Me

End of conversation

"I need to leave!" I said and rushed out. I got on Beomgyu's cycle and rode to the police station. I reached the station and saw my mom crying. I went to her, "You go to dad I'll manage hear" I said. She nodded and went to the hospital. 

Beomgyu POV

She ran out of the door and I stood there, dumbfounded. I quickly opened my phone and tracked her down. The police station? why in the world was she at the station?! Well... I heard her mom through the phone and I guess something happened. I thought I shouldn't interfere and I continued tracking her. 

Yujin POV

I went with the officer and he explained me what happened. He got a call and said, "One sec, I need to take this call" and he left. I sat at the chair and saw a pile of old cases' files. I randomly took one from the middle and the next second I froze... The name tag said "Kim Jiho. Case- Suicide" 

I was frozen till the moment the officer came in and said "hey! keep that file back" and he snatched it out of my hand. "Please just let me see-" I was cut off by him "NO. We cannot disclose someone else's information unless we have proof that you are a guardian or a close one" he said with his jaws stern. "Moving on to your dad's case" he said and I nodded, "A hit and run case? was the car camera on?" he asked, "Yes" I said, "Good. Send me the recordings and we'll update you by tomorrow morning" he said and got another phone call. "Damn it. DO NOT MOVE" he said to me like I was some child and left. As soon as he went I checked the room for cameras and as there were none,  I took the file and slipped it into my bag. I took a pen and paper from the officer's desk and wrote a note saying, "THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION I HAVE LEFT. HOPING TO GET THE RESULTS TOMORROW" and left. 

*Time skip* 

I went to visit my dad at the hospital and insisted staying with him for the night but he said I should go to OUR house and not my boss' house. "Dad, I have to go to my boss' house" I said, "Is it because he's your boyfriend?" he said and I blushed and gave my mom a look, "MOM! You told him?" I said, she laughed and so did my dad. "Just tell him that you're at our house and stay there. I feel uncomfortable leaving our house empty" Dad said, "Okay dad" I said and headed home. 

When I reached I gave beomgyu a call. Here is our conversation:

Oppa, I'll be staying at my parents' house tonight. I'll come tomorrow morning.
~Me

WHY!?
~Beomgyu

Cuz My dad fractured his leg in a hit and run case
~Me

Oh... Okay! I hope he get's fine soon!
~Beomgyu

Thanks. Also DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT COMING HERE LIKE LAST TIME!
I'll be home tmrw morning and don't worry your cycle is safe
~Me

Ah ok ok fine I won't come. Also you took my cycle?!
~Beomgyu

Yes.
~Me

Okay
~Beomgyu

End of conversation

I lay on the sofa and took out the file. I read about it and texted kai the address and told him to come here. I went to the store and got some chips and other snacks. After I reached home I arranged the snacks and went to the sofa. The bell rang and I opened the door. It was Kai. "Hi" he said, "Hey" I said and let him in. "So is this your house?" he asked, "well kind of, it's my parents' house" I said. We sat on the sofa and I said, "Kai... do you have a picture of Jiho?" He looked at me and said, "Yes, why?" I took out the file. "I found this at the police station... I wasn't sure if it was the same Jiho but I think it is..." I said and handed him the file. He took the file and had the same expression as me when I first saw it. "This is her..." he said with his hand to his mouth as a tear rolled down his cheek. I handed him tissues and after he was done we started talking about how I got the file and stuff. "So... Who'll tell him? Beomgyu." Kai said, "Well since I live with him... and I'll be able to comfort him..." I said. "Okay" he said. 

After some talking and eating snacks, Kai left. I went to my room and lay there staring at the file.
