She had a good point. Great point actually. How can I prove it? I mean, it's so unearthly impossible she's been doing it that I don't know how to catch her. This thought kept me up all night long, mixed with the fact that I didn't want that horrid nightmare again or anything like it. The next morning it was still dark out. Cloudy with snow coming down. It was so close to the weekend that I felt like skipping school. I mean, I'm tired as hell and have no ride so I'm obligated to do it. I have a great reason and a right to do it. But Serinna would kill me so I get up and get ready for school. I realize my hair's a mess, sticking up all kinds of ways from not combing it yesterday. I fumble around for my comb on my dresser. It wasn't there. Oh no, not again. I scour my room for it, checking every usual and unusual place it could be. I'm gonna be late so I just fuck it, smooth it down and called Cal for a ride. He showed up shortly. I got in and placed my backpack in the backseat and buckled up. I threw my head back on the headrest and shut my eyes.

"No sleep?"

"Mm-Hm" I mumbled, meaning yes.

"Probably fall asleep right now?"

"Yep" I'm too tired to worry about that stupid nightmare.

"And in class?"

"Bingo" I heard him chuckle and start the car. I adjusted my neck and got some sleep. There wasn't really a dream, but a weird collection of blinking lights. A voice echoing off in my brain

"Run. Don't speak. The doll has ears..." Next thing I know my forehead is being slammed into the dashboard.

"THE FUCK CAL!?" I rub my forehead and groaned.

"Sorry! There was ice! Plus you were the one who forgot his seat belt!"

"No I di-" Oh right, bad luck. I groaned and got out of the car, with Cal along with me.

"Is the day almost over?" I grumbled.

"Just started tough guy" It was Serinna, with a playfulness in her voice. I sluggishly threw my arm around her waist.

"Hey babe" I kissed her cheek and yawned. She yawned too.

"Stop. You're gonna make me sleepy" she shoved me a little harsh.

"Ow" I rubbed my arm. I know she shoves but that was harsh. I couldn't think about it too long because Violet was waiting right at the top of the stairs for us. For me. I signaled for Serinna and Cal to go ahead, and they did. I stepped up to her.

"I don't want you to ever do that again, got it?" she whispered, so no one

would hear. I sighed, not in the mood for her bullshit.

"As long as you stop whatever your doing"

"I'm not!-", she stopped herself and continued to whisper, "Just never do that again, alright? I don't want you anywhere near my house" Violet whispered that extra quietly. I guess I wasn't the only one that didn't want everyone to know we were neighbors.

"You stop messing with my life and I won't ruin your insignificant reputation, got it Skellington?" I didn't mean to say that last part out loud. Nerd Tim Burton talk, my life would be down the toilet if anybody else heard that. I heard her whisper something about "used to being cool". Whatever, I am and will always be cooler than her.

"Stop being you and spreading it around my life, got it?" I threatened.

"You moron!," she scream whispered, "You've been cursed dumb ass!" I just gaped at her. Cursed? CURSED? Like fucking witch craft, stupid shit!? I know it's a rumor she's in a cult but I never thought it was true. Now I'm second guessing my made up rumor just to hurt her feelings.

"You freak" I said bluntly. Her eyes looked disbelieving my statement.

"Don't try to pull this witch bullshit on me. Now I'm giving you one last time: Stop now or I will ruin your life. " She just threw her hands up in defeat.

"Unbelievable. Un-fucking-believable. I try to help and...you are impossible." And with that she stomped off. I burned two holes into the back of her head with my eyes until she disappeared into a sea of people. I growled and walked to my first class with enough shoves and bumping into people to give me more bruises than skin. I got to class on time and set my backpack down with a thud at my seat.

"So glad you could be on time today, Mr. McKingly." Mr. Absen is another pain I don't want to deal with today. I just nod and sit down. The desk didn't break so I rested my arms and dropped my head on the desk. This is horrible. There's bad luck and then there's...this. I'm starting to doubt my Violet Theory. I mean, how could she have done ALL of this? It's insane and impossible unless she has friends, which she doesn't. Could it be possible that she was telling the truth? That I...actually might be...? No, Ferris. Stop. You are not some dumb ass like she is. The bell rang and I sat up with a jolt, not wanting anymore detention, and try to pay attention today. I opened my notebook. Halfway through the class I feel something in my right arm. It felt like a slight pressure, right under my sleeve. I lifted it and saw a small indent in my bicep.

"What the...?" then, like an invisible needle, it pierced my skin, swift and fast. I cried out in pain. The whole class went dead silent. I fell out of my chair and huddled on the floor, gripping my arm. It was warm. I lifted my hand. Blood. And lots of it. I felt another shot of pain in my left calf. I screamed and gripped it. I felt Mr. Absen trying to help and stop the bleeding, calling for the nurse. My vision was getting blurry from tears and pain. As if it couldn't get any worse, something wrapped around my throat, cutting of any air. I was gasping and weezing, clawing and my throat for any sort of release to breath. All I saw now were blobs of students surrounding me and lights blinking above me. Then everything went dark.
