Chapter 1: The New Family

In the country of Colombia, a village surrounded by mountains stood tall called 'Encanto'. The village has its wonders as well as a gifted family, The Madrigals... Where every single family member has a gift! Well all except Mirabel, the youngest daughter in the family. But this story takes place a month before the youngest male even received his gift. "Señora! You have a mail from a 'Flora'?" The mailman said as another mailman received it then he shape shifted into his usual self, "Thank you Señor, I'll give it to her." The boy said as the mailman smiles, "Alright, but make sure your Abuela gets it, Camilo. Not like last time." The mailman said as Camilo chuckled, "I'll make sure of it." Camilo said as he rushes inside of Casita to give the letter to his Abuela. He tried to find her the best that he could and the house was tired seeing him pace around everywhere. So it decided to push him to the room where Abuela is with its tiles. "Ay! Casita!" Camilo said as the tiles click and clack, symbolizing the house is laughing. Camilo smiles and shakes his head before proceeding to approach his Abuela.

"Abuela, you have mail from a 'Flora'?" Camilo said as Alma takes the letter and opens it with a smile. "What does it say?" Dolores and Mirabel came out of nowhere, eavesdropping onto the conversation. Abuela chuckles, "This is a letter from my beloved filipino friend, Flora Domingo. She fled her country to escape her abusive parents. We got separated, and it saids here that she and her son's family is going to move here." Abuela said as Camilo and Dolores smiled, "A new family joining Encanto! How exciting!" Mirabel said as they walked out of the house when all of the sudden, a Villager ran up to them, "Señora! There are people here, finding you." The villager said as the three excitedly exited, "I'll get Luisa to help!" Mirabel said leaving to get her older sister with Dolores coming along. Camilo guided his Abuela to that place and sure enough... The Domingo Family is there.

"Alma! It is so good to see you!" Your Lola Flora said to Alma before doing the beso-beso thing as Camilo took a peak towards the other members of the family. He saw 3 males, one of which is the father of the family. He assumes that the other two are his sons, he then turned his gaze to the other two members, the females. The mother looks absolutely gorgeous and young for her age... "Ma! San ko muna lalapag ito po?"  He heard a female voice said to make his head turn to see a girl with a neatly tied up bun, a beautiful filipiniana blouse and a floral long skirt.

Camilo has never seen quite a beauty before in Encanto. "Ay! Anak! Let your brothers handle the heavy stuff." The mother said as the girl chuckles, "I can't just sit around and do nothing, Mama." The girl said as her mother shakes her head with a smile, "Whatever you say, Y/N." The mother said as you put down the pile of bags filled with clothes next to you. He had never seen someone like you who is selfless before. Usually the girls in Encanto are treated like little dolls, just for display, but to you... He could see that there is no explanation that you don't care about standards... "Well, is this one of Pepa's children?" He snapped back to reality after looking at you for long, "Yes, this is Camilo." Alma said as Camilo smiles and shakes her hand, "My, he's quite handsome." Lola Flora said as she studies Camilo's features. Camilo then thanked her for the compliment before he saw you struggling to lift a bag of clothing. Your lola sees this and allowed him to help.

You then felt someone taking the other bag on your hands, "Gabriel, I told you I'm fine—Oh!" You said turning around to see, not your brother, but another boy you have never seen before. He has curly hair and attractive, though he looked quite mischievous but at the same time... Responsible, "Do you need some help, hermosa?" Camilo said with his smile while you only blink, "O-Oh! You can take the heavier one." You said as he lifts is up but was immediately taken by his older cousin, Luisa, "You need help with that too?" The muscled woman said as you hesitantly agreed. "She's quite strong for a girl..." You said as you heard the boy chuckle, "That's just natural to her gift. Oh, I'm Camilo, by the way." Camilo said handing out his hand, "Y/N Domingo." You said as Camilo shape shift into you. "Oh! You must be one of the Madrigals." You calmly said as Camilo chuckled, "I am." He said shapeshifting back to himself. But that's when your older brothers saw you with him.

"Y/N? Sino sya?" Gabriel, your second eldest brother, asked as he pointed to Camilo, "Ah... Mga Kuya, this is Camilo... He's one of the Madrigals." You explained as both brothers crossed their arms, "Camilo, please to meet my older brothers. Angelo is the eldest while Gabriel is the second." You said as Camilo greeted them with gratitude...

After joining the Madrigals for dinner, the Domingos stayed well rested to their new home but you can't sleep... Your mind was filled with the Madrigals... Especially Camilo. You couldn't sleep with him on your mind. To you, he was really attractive and for some boys who you have meet on the road... They just doesn't compare to Camilo. You stood up and go to the balcony to get some fresh air when you saw Camilo on a tree next to your house. You thought you might be hallucinating but when you rub your eyes, his voice spoke, "You are not hallucinating, hermosa. I'm really here." Camilo said as you lean on the terrace, "So... What are you doing here?" You asked the curly haired boy when he rubbed his nape, "I just wanted to see you, is it wrong?" He asked innocently as you giggle. "Hay Pogi, it's not wrong. But you will definitely will see me tomorrow morning when you do chores." You said as you saw his eyebrow raised, "What does 'Pogi' mean?" He asked as you smirked, "You don't have to know. Good night!" You said as you left and closed the door. Camilo was still confused... 'What does it mean?' He thought before going back to Casita. On the other hand, you got on your knees and felt your heart beating, 'Why is...?' You thought as you calm yourself down and went back to bed.
