"you got him suspended?"

Very breifly, i apologise for not writing much. i have a plan on what i want to do but im going to explain that at the end of this chapter. (which is pretty short and shitty btw)

-a few days later-

"wait so you got him suspended?" JP asked, him and i being the only ones at the lunch table currently, neither of us eating "did i? no, technically my dad did but it was his own fault. tom ended up at mines after as well and had to listen to my dad ranting about the situation, poor lad." he chuckled, shaking his head almost in disbelief "what?" "i'm just shocked that tom was in a girl's house and it wasn't a family members'"

"what are we talking about?" speak of the devil "JP's bullying tom, as per" "literally why, what did i do to you? who hurt you jp? do you need therapy? maybe contact camhs or some shit bud" i just sat in silence shaking my head "they'll just say have a cuppa love, no one gets therapy from camhs silly little child" "IM LITERALLY OLDER THAN YOU WHAT DO YOU MEAN"

"We're going out at 7 i think, just to the pitches. if you wanna come, up to you tho" Tom yawned as we waited to get picked up after school "maybe. depends if dad needs me to do something or go somewhere or i dunno. i think i have maths to do" i stood up seeing his mums car pull up "text me when you get home if you want to come out" i nodded and said goodbye letting him head home. "Soph!" talia's voice boomed across the car park "C'mon hun we need to pop by my flat" i sighed knowing that meant i probably wouldn't be going out tonight.

"How was school? did you eat lunch?" "it was the same as always si, and yes i did. i promise." he nodded slightly, allowing me to get on with my homework "did something happen?" i shook my head slowly, confused as fuck "why are you so upset then?" i, yet again, shook my head "im not upset. anyway, 1. why did tal pick me up? and 2. why are you here?" "Josh and freya was busy and i wanted to see you? is that a crime now?" i shoved his shoulder playfully which initiated a fight between us "Do i have 2 children in my flat then?" talia stood at the door, arms crossed smiling at us "He started it!" I jumped up off the couch "did not, shes lying and also i am not a child thank you very much" talia simply rolled her eyes at the both of us.

Okay. I understand it wasnt great but please bear with me. I've been struggling to write this for a multitude of reasons but the main one being that its "based on me" sorta. Having a book like this allows me to rationalise my thoughts and feelings whilst portraying them into a character i can relate to, the character being myself. however, im sure you're aware i now go by Dylan(they/them) and do not like my deadname anymore. while i could just suck it up and keep this character it would be very hard for me to write. I liked that i could use this as somewhat of an autobiographical outlet but i cant do that anymore because its not me.

So, here is my plans. I want to do a major time skip. im talking like skipping to february 2021 (currently set december 2019). This would make the character 16 nearing their 17th birthday which brings them closer to me. I will also be changing the characters name to Dylan, dont worry about how i'm gonna integrate it. i have a plan.

so, next chapter (whenever it's released) will be set in 2021 with the character being 16 and called dylan. Im hoping that these changes, although their small, will make it much easier for me to write and continue this story as i will feel more connected to the story. I hope this is all okay with you guys and i again apologise for how long it has taken me to get here.
