"You ok?"

"Wake up Sophie!" I heard Josh say as he opened my door "Time?" I said picking up my phone "Half six" I groaned and pulled the covers over my head "No get-up Sophie, I'm not arguing with you," I reluctantly got out of bed and pulled JJ's hoodie on before making my way downstairs and taking my meds. "You're only in until 11, it's going to be okay soph," Josh said wrapping his arm around me, I nodded and lay my head on the table "I'm not supposed to wake up until 7!" I complained as I showed Josh my alarm "Stop complaining, I don't usually wake up until 12, and I'm up" I roll my eyes and go upstairs to change. (A/N This is basically what I wear to school so, fun) I grab my pair of leggings, shirt, tie and underwear before throwing them on and slipping my hoodie on. "Daaaaaddddd!" I shouted downstairs suddenly, josh was at my door "I can't find a pair of black socks." I frown and he laughs at me, I finally find a pair and put them on along with my shoes. "Teeth and hair, go!" Josh said grabbing my backpack, I roll my eyes and do as he said.

-10 minutes later-

I drag myself downstairs and say "My hair wouldn't cooperate" I explain and he nods "sure..." We get in the car and drive to school. I wasn't bullied in school before, I was actually quite "popular" but I got good grades. I just hate the vibes in school, always heightens my anxiety and depression. I hate stuck-up bitchy people but I can't do shit about it. just have to deal with it. "I'll buy you anything you want when you get home, I promise" I sleepily nodded before laying my head on the door and scrolling Instagram. after sufficient scrolling I went to close my phone but I got a DM. being the curious bitch I am, I have to check it.

I smile and slide my phone into the front pocket of my bag. "You're talking to Daniel?" dad nods "He DM'd me when you had a bad day before I and Freya went away for a couple. great guy, whats he said to you?" I chuckle and quote him "Year 10! It's not as shit as you think. And its new people, hey you might get a boyfriend!" He looked at me and said "You better not, actually it's your life. JJ might not be happy about that though" I nod and quote myself "No dating before marriage, oh look its the school, see you later jo- Dad" I smile and he kisses my head "Into the administration office and tell them your name, Sophie Bradley" He smiles, why do I feel like he's hiding something?

I shake it off and walk inside the school heading to the bright purple sign reading "Administration" I push open the door and walk up to the window, waiting for someone to notice me. "Oh hello dear, how can I help?" A woman no older than 60 said walking over and sitting down in front of the computer "It's my first day" I look down to my shoes before straightening up my hoodie and facing her "Sophie Bradley-Nightengale?" My face lit up, he changed my name to the one I wished for. "Yes that's me" she nodded and typed a few things up "Ok a few things to let you know, you will only be in until 11 am today although I'm sure you're aware of that, this is your timetable for just now. You'll pick your GCSEs but I'm sure Mr McFadzean will explain this all." I smiled at her as she guided me to his office.

"Hello Sophie, nice to meet you I am your headteacher and this is Mr Walker (A/n My history teacher who is fkn poggers) he will be Head of Year 10" I nodded and bit the inside of my cheek, "There's no need to be scared or nervous, we will support you through everything. So GCSE options? what would you like?" (A/N These are my options, please don't fight me. Also I'm Scottish so idk if year 10 or GCSE is right bc its S4 and National 5 in Scotland so I'm lost :)) "Can I do Spanish, History, Physics and Computing Science" He nods and writes that down "You'll start those classes next week but for now you'll be in additional support needs class for this week. don't worry you'll be treated like an adult, not a baby" I guess my face gave it all away I nodded and continued listening to him drone on about other stuff around the school. "Okay if you can follow me I'll take you to your class, the bell will ring in about 5 minutes," Mr Walker said standing up. I picked up my back and followed him to my class. "This is Mrs Docherty" I smiled at her and sat down beside a boy, where I was told to, great. 

"Hey, I'm Adam" I smiled at him and tapped my pen against my hand, a habit I've had for years. At least it's not the table. I felt a hand rest on mine and stop the tapping "You okay?" he asked and I nodded with a weak smile. "Okay everyone can you take out your jotters please..." Mrs Docherty started and I listened to what she was saying for the most part. each time I would zone out or start having a little panic attack Adam would put his hand on mine or on my shoulder. I appreciated it. "Okay for this last 30 minutes you can talk within each other. I turned to Adam and smiled at him "Hi" I chuckled at his face "I love your voice, sorry that's weird what do you have next?" I thought for a minute and said "La españa" He smiled and nodded "Same," we kept talking and then he helped me to my next class.

"Hola clase, mi nombre es Sra. Hannah. Hoy tenemos una nueva estudiante, su nombre es Sophie. por favor, dale la bienvenida. Sophie, puedes sentarte con Adam, ¿de acuerdo?" (hello class, my name is Mrs Hannah. Today we have a new student, her name is Sophie. please, make her feel welcome. Sophie you can sit with Adam, okay?)  I nod "Si" we sit down and he looks at me confused "¿Nunca conociste a una persona bilingüe?" (Never met a bilingual person?) I repeat myself in English and he shakes his head. "I need your number" He chuckles and I give him my phone to put his number in. I look at the contact name and laugh. 'Adam😍😘💪🏻🤙🏻' "Could you have used anymore emojis?" I whisper in his ear and he laughs while nodding.
