It's Friday evening and Mallorie is late. It's 5:45 p.m, I'm freaking out. I'm pulling random outfits one by one and throwing them every which way. I'm about to lose hope when Mallorie walks into my room.
"Sorry I'm late." she says exasperatedly, "I had to get my make up kit out of my sister's clutches. Apparently tonight is a popular date night."
"It's alright. Could you help me pick out an outfit?"
" No problem." Mallorie says. She goes over to my closet and pulls out a red baseball tee and a white skirt. She thrusts it into my hands and tells me to go put it on while she gets the make up and hair stuff ready.
This looks like an odd combination in my hands but I try it on anyway. It actually goes together really well.
I walk out back out to my room from the bathroom and find that Mallorie has turned my room into a salon. There is a station with all of her make up kit, supplies, what ever you want to call it. There is a hair station with a curling iron, straightener, and hair spray. She really pulled all of the stops for today.
"I hope it's not too much, I just want this to be perfect." Mallorie says.
"No, let's do this." I say.
Mallorie smiles and begins to work.

After an hour of rushed, yet quality work, I am ready. Malloire has curls my usual straight hair into ringlets and done my make up very subtly. I have green eyes, so the brown and gold eyeshadow allow the color of my eyes to take over.
Mallorie steps back to view her work and sends me a nod of approval.
"I really have outdone myself with you today." she says, "Now put these black pumps on and the effect will be complete."
I put the heels onto my feet and Mallorie squeals with excitement.
"Cain will love this. I know it."
"Really."
"Defiantly." Mallorie says, "Can I maybe crash here tonight? I'm worked out and need to sleep all this hard work off."
"Yes, I'll tell you all about what happened when I get back home." I tell her giggling.
"You better, I didn't just work my ass off for you not to tell me what happens tonight."
I laugh at this and Mallorie lies herself on my bed and falls right asleep. After a couple minutes the doorbell rings. I run downstairs, proving my ungracefulness in heels by almost tripping down the stairs, and open the door.
Cain is standing there with a bunch of flowers. They're lilies, my favorite.
"Hello." Cain says.
"Hello." I say, feeling a little bit awkward.
"So, you ready to go?" Cain asks.
"Yes, let's go."
We get to his car and he opens the door for me, this time he shuts it with a regular amount of force to shut a car door efficiently. He slides into the driver's side, starts the car, and pulls out of my driveway.
"So, where are we going?" I ask.
"It's still a surprise." he says.
He drives a while, making a few turns, and we pull into a Go Kart Racing Track. That is literally the name of the place 'Go Kart Racing Track.'
"Go-kart racing?" I ask.
"Heck, yeah." Cain exclaims, "You ready?"
"Yeah."
