Reminder: I said the word "bitch" and "fucking", you have been warned, also this is a bit shorter than I expected lmao.
It was a cold night at the castle, Penumbras, the head knight of the Umbra, was alone in the watchtower, looking at the night sky filled with beautiful stars and a hill filled with lights coming from a camp of the human defenders of Earth. He felt quite sad and alone. Suddenly, he heard a soft voice calling his name, it was the queen herself, The Umbra, his face lit up because he had a bit of a crush on her, he had some interesting history going on...
"What are you doing out here? It's cold like the north" Umbra asked, Penumbras replied "Just looking at the stars, the human army hasn't made a move on us yet", Umbra sat down next to him, his face turned red, he was always shy when they both were alone together, "Such a magnificent view!" Umbra exclaims, Penumbras was silent, he then felt something soft touch his hand, it was Umbra's hand, he secretly smiled as he felt her soft and gentle skin.
Penumbras wanted to get his hands off her but as he tried, he felt Umbra lock her hands around his hands, he can't escape her now. He started breathing fast, she notices him and asks him "Are you shivering out here?", "I have a knight's armor, it's made of the best metal, I will be fine your majesty" Penumbras replied, minutes past as the cold night continued on.
Penumbras was still nervous while having Umbra's hand locked into his, finally he felt his hands being released. He felt a sigh of relief but when he looked at her, he realizes that Umbra was shivering out in the cold air, he can tell why she was freezing, her outfit exposed her shoulders along with her arms and legs, it made him realize how beautiful she is with those. He had the urge to rip them off and make love with her, but, his purpose and only purpose is to serve his queen.
"Your majesty are you ok? You seem to be shivering out here" Penumbras asked, Umbra replied "Yes, It's quite cold out here than I anticipated", "I shall get you some warm clothing, wait for me" Penumbras said as he stood up only to feel his hand get tugged by Umbra. "I don't need more clothes, a hug would be good for me" Umbra said, he was speechless, a hug?, A HUG?, A FUCKING HUG?, he had no choice, he has to hug her because that was his order and a royal knight must follow his queen's order.
As Penumbras sat down again on the ledge, he felt as Umbra wrapped his arms around her and snuggled up on him, his face turned a bright shade of red but he did enjoy having the girl of his dreams sitting on his lap. He decides to hug her tighter, Umbra felt his warm body, so comfortable, "Wow, your body is quite warm, your quite hot" Umbra said in a flirty manner, Penumbras could do nothing but keep his feelings to himself, he didn't want to ruin the moment, it was too romantic.
"To be honest, this moment is quite... romantic" Umbra said in a gladly manner, Penumbras felt pressure building up on himself, he replied with "Uh, uh... Uh ye-, yeah, your uh- right, I guess", Umbra notices the tone of his voice, she recognizes that voice, that his "Voice of Nervousness", she asked him "What's the matter, Penumbras? Just tell me what's wrong ok? What is going on?", Penumbras just stammered, he felt too nervous, too nervous to the point that he can't talk nor move, he was paralyzed by his own emotions.
"Nothing, I feel fine" Penumbras answered in a nervous manner, "Stop lying, I know your not fine, I know that voice, just tell me Penumbras, what's the matter? I order you to give me an answer, NOW!" Umbra angrily asked, Penumbras was just silent. She then asked "Do you... have a crush on me? Do you love me?", Penumbras answered with "NO, NO, no I do not, I am your head knight, my job is to serve you and you only", Umbra was quite disappointed with him, so she then pulls off what people call "A pro gamer move".
"Swamp Monster told me that you had a huge crush on me", Umbra said to him, Penumbras shockingly replied with "WAIT!, he told you?!", when he said those words, Umbra clapped her hands, put one of her hands in her mouth, pointed at Penumbras and said "Gotcha!", Penumbras realized that the son of a bitch just tricked him, she just made him admit his feelings by accident, Swamp Monster never told Umbra that Penumbras had a crush on her, it was a lie she made up to get him to admit his crush for her. Penumbras was left speechless, all he said "NO, NO, NO, what have I done?!" he then started to burst into tears.
Umbra hugged him and comforted him saying "Oh Penumbras, you don't have to be sad, I know it's strange to have a knight fall in love with his queen but you sometimes have to express how you feel, and besides I have to tell you something, I'm... in love with someone...", Penumbras was heartbroken, turns out Umbra was in love with another man, he then asked "Who is it? May I know who you're in love with?", Umbra replied with "The person... in front of me, the charming purple 3-eyed head knight of the Umbra", Penumbras realized, she was in love... WITH HIM!, Penumbras once again was speechless.
*Tower Defense Simulator OST- Raid Plan plays in the background to be used as a romantic mood setting, best part for this is the chorus at timestamp 1:18*
"I- I- uhhh-" Penumbras stammers but was interrupted, interrupted when Umbra kisses him... in the mouth, Penumbras continues to kiss her, he then wrapped his hands tightly around her back. Both of them blush, enjoying such a romantic and powerful moment, behind them Jaxe and Swamp Monster watch as the two kiss each other, they were both in disbelief, Jaxe silently shouted "WTF!!" before jumping off the watchtower, he survived, don't worry about it, Swamp Monster stabbed his head using his tridents, oh and don't worry he survived as well, when you're a boss it's hard to commit suicide because you are too strong.
They both break their kiss, both of their faces were still glowing red. Umbra said to him "Good Night, Penumbras", she stood up and then left. Penumbras was left in the watchtower alone trying to process what just happened but at the end, he felt happy because not only did he just share a romantic moment with the girl of his dreams but he also relieved all the pressure that was trapped inside of him, he felt great and silently said "Thanks Umbra", he left the watchtower and hopped straight to bed thinking about her.
The next morning, the 4 bosses gather at the dining hall for some well deserved breakfast, Jaxe and Swamp Monster watched as Umbra and Penumbras were looking and flirting at each other while their faces were bright red, "So last night, we saw you to uhh...", Jaxe said in a nervous manner, "shush", Umbra and Penumbras replied in unison, they both secretly held their hands together behind the table waiting for their meal.

Writer's note: bruh this took a long time to write sheesh, anyways I hope you enjoyed my cringe excuse of a story :), Chapter 2 might come soon but idk it might come in a few days.
