Footsteps rang down the hall leading towards a door with a sign next to it, Doctor's office.
Eisen twisted the doorknob, leaning inside to see if the person he was looking for was inside the room. And, there he was, sleeping on the chair with his head resting on the desk.
" You... really do know how to sleep whenever possible. " Muttering to himself then, walking towards him.
Grabbing his shoulder he gave him a rough shake, first attempt and he didn't wake up. So he applied more force, shaking his entire chair and body.
The wheels on the office chair banged against the desk, eventually this forced him awake.
" H-uh...? " He twisted his neck to look at the person who rudely interrupted his sleep, looking towards Eisen.
" Oh... morning. " He yawned, forcing himself to sit up properly while rubbing his eyes to clear his sleepiness.
He came into the office at 9:31 sharp, Amiya had requested for him to wake up Doc. " Yeah, morning. "
Sliding the file he had brought in, it slid towards Doctor's arm and gently hit him.He tiredly picked it up, opening the file and bringing out the papers inside and laying it on his desk. Inching his chair closer to the desk he read the writings on it.
Eisen patiently waited off to the side, taking his time to look around his office which was, bland to say the least. It had no ornaments, accessories or anything to make the room more appealing.
" Couldn't you bother to make the room less empty? A little decoration here and there would be nice. " Scanning across the room, there truly wasn't any decorations unlike his office.
Flipping through the next paper he looked up towards Eisen, feeling slightly more awake. " I don't really care about... decoration, all of the operators had brought this up to me. Well, I could. But I spent it on the dorms for them instead, I don't mind this. "
" Still, just a plant or two? There really is just your desk, chair, couch and several bookshelves. " Waving his hand dismissively at his comment. " I'll consider it. "
Sighing, Eisen simply nodded. " Alright. "
A few minutes passed by, none of them talked while Doctor read the documents that began to stack on his table. He had brought several files for him to review, two of which was Rhodes Island and his Steel Talons joining together.
There will be some minor inconveniences such as schedules and resources being mutually exchanged, along with the schedules. Obviously, it wasn't only that.
Arrangement for treatment of the wounded, infected and publicity with payments written inside there. The treatment they offered were naturally, not free.
With a click, Doctor finished signing on the two papers containing the files which related to Steel Talons and Rhodes Islands joint together.
Now, it was onto the third one. " Training? "
" Yeah, there are some operators which were. 3 Stars? I am not sure how you give out rankings. "
" Mhm, so you want to arrange a training for all of them? That'd take up a considerable amount of time with the current situation that you brought to me just a few days ago, about Dianna and her psychotic lunacy. " His worries were founded, there would be little time to properly train all of them.
If Rhodes Island did it that is, they are a pharmaceutical company, not military oriented unlike ST which were.
They had the location, time and money to host this training. He wanted to hopefully expand the uses of the 3 star operators, even if they were unable to ascend above their ranking, he believed that this training would improve on their skills and offer more uses for them.
Rather than being a emergency response team which Doctor used them as, they could take on more roles on the front after this training.
Potentially, some of them might even learn arts and discover their true potential, it's unfortunate that Rhodes Island simply did not have the resources to spend on them.
" Yes, do not worry. We constantly have monitors on Dianna and her actions, additionally money, location, time and food, weapons, equipments are already secured. You'll just need to sign it so we can fully implement it. "
That was quick, when did he do all of that? " Alright. " Reading through the pages, there wasn't anything suspicious about it. Logically, it would be idiotic for them to immediately betray the trust.
Well they didn't have much time to form it, several days had went by since they just arrived. Not several months or years. Rereading the pages several times, there wasn't any underlying suspiciousness. They really had covered everything, including transport.
" Deserted city, you sure? " There was an issue with this specific city, it was unsafe. Originium monsters constantly lurked around, it had been long abandoned and not only that there may be some potential raiders living inside.
Hiding away from the catastrophes inside cities are a common thing, they offered shelter if they were able to deal with the slugs around.
" Yeah, it's a optimal location for the training. There are two sections, one inside and another on the outskirts of the city on a nearby hill. "
" Inside the city is where they will learn actual combat experience, outside is drilling them with battle tactics, formations and styles of combat. And, also testing themselves against each other."
Hmm, with a click he signed the documents. " Alright, how will you deal with Dianna if she does act up while this training is underway? " This was the most problematic.
" Naturally, we have our own forces stationed on the frontlines. Additionally you request some operators to be on standby on the frontlines such as Hellagur, the old timer who was a general.
His skills are refined, being a general as well his leadership would be worthwhile on the front. " Nodding. " Alright, this already covers everything. I'll allocate some of the operators to support the front, I guess I'll have some spare time to rest then. "
Reclining in his chair , finally some peace time for himself. But a laugh pulled him out of his happy thoughts. " Unfortunately, you'll have to come with me to the training. "
" Eh? " Confused, why did he need to follow? " Why-. "
" Kal'tsit requested for you to follow them, probably to also join in the training. You do daily exercises right? Do it with the trainees! " He excitedly spoke out, his vibrant energy completely masked Doctor's snarking expression.
" Alright. " He gave up easily, there wasn't a need to put up any resistance since Kal'tsit was the leader of RI.
" That's not all, Kal'tsit is going for some reason she didn't disclose. But, other medical operators are also going to help with the training. There won't be many medical personnel at Rhodes or Talon's landships, they'll be off at the frontlines. "
" So! You'll have to follow regardless for your weekly monitoring and checkup. " He concluded." Alright... " He nodded. He was going to be dragged around more when he simply wanted more rest, well he did have a good nights sleep surprisingly for today.
Eisen left his room after grabbing the documents and stashing it inside the file, leaving through the door and closing it behind him.
Leaving Doctor tiredly placing his head on the desk and tiredly heaving a hefty sigh, he had to reorganize his schedule and the operators.
There wasn't any time to waste, he'll go ahead and gather the operators he plans on bringing with him such as Dobermann, Ceylon and Schwarz, lastly Amiya to the training as they can help. There will be others, but these 4 are the most important.
Ceylon is included because Schwarz sticks to her like glue. While Hellagur, Surtr and Silverash to the front to help in case of emergency, Hellagur and Silverash would unlikely be troubled with this.Surtr on the other hand won't be excited about going to the frontlines, she'll be bored out of her mind. " Eh, maybe or maybe not. " On the front things constantly change, there might be missions to entertain her. There aren't any commissions that she deems worthy enough to take on, unfortunately.
If she refuses there are some others, but having her there soften his worries. Surtr is overwhelmingly strong, similar to Skadi in his eyes.
Getting up from his chair he walked towards the door intending to walk out when Amiya abruptly bumped into him as he got out.
" Ow. " Amiya's soft voice rang out in the empty hallway. Doctor turned his gaze towards the voice. " ? " His reaction was still a bit slow since he just woke up, it took awhile for him to realize it was Amiya.
" Oh, hello. " Curtly greeting her. " Did you need something? " He backed up slightly giving her room as she rubbed her head.Nod. " Yes, Doctor. Did you learn about the training schedule? "
There was a schedule listed inside the documents he reviewed earlier, a month would be dedicated to the training. " Yeah, I did. "
" Oh good, I had already given the schedule to the operators in the dorm. Eisen had passed by earlier saying that you needed a cup of coffee. " Amiya said, a bottle of coffee inside a container hanging off her shoulder.Amiya passed the coffee over. " Okay, I'll go with Kal'tsit to help with the work. "
Curtly waving goodbye, he went back inside into his office.
He'll drink this in a bit, right now he didn't have anything to do as Amiya had already handled giving the schedule to the operators, assuming that Amiya gave the correct schedule and to the right operators.
It's unlikely she had made a mistake with handing it out however, he wouldn't need to worry about it.
Going back to the couch which was in the corner to the left from the door leading into his office, he quietly opened the lid of the bottle. The aroma of the coffee quickly filled the room, it was still warm.
He took a sip, it was just nice for his taste." Now, there really isn't anything for me to do. " He'll have to wait for Eisenfaust to get the trainees, recruits and operators ready.
It'll take a day.
