the next two days seemed to fly by as nina patiently awaited her tutoring session with the boy. however, the excitement for the event didn't crack nina's hard exterior. her giddiness was in no way reflected on the outside. she had the same old disgusted expression when walking the halls and the same prissy attitude around her peers.

ricky, on the other hand, had the same goofy grin gracing his face. he and his girlfriend were finally at a good place in their relationship after weeks of her picking fights over insignificant things. the boy had thought of breaking up with her numerous times but his best friend, ej, always advised him not to, saying he would talk to her.

and whatever magic ej had worked on his girlfriend was a blessing. lilly was so affectionate and kind to ricky, and nina couldn't stand it.

nina watched as the couple kissed feverishly against the lockers during passing period, her face growing red with each kiss they shared. the girl quickly whipped out her phone and typed out a quick message, immediately pressing send.

the curly headed boy pulled away from lilly as his phone buzzed in his pocket. nina watched as he read her text, ricky issued a quick apology to lilly and ran off towards library, stumbling as he typed out a reply to nina.
