We pulled up somewhere. I didn't know where, however, because he had put the tie he had in the back seat—that I'm thanking god he didn't wear— around my eyes so it could "be a surprise".
He stopped the car and got out, walking over to my door. I just stayed sitting, knowing I would fall if I tried to get out myself. I heard the door open but I didn't feel anything for a while until he reached across me and unbuckled my seat belt and pecked my cheek.
"I could have done that." I said.
"You could have. But I wanted to." He said, grabbing my hand and pulling me out.
"You gonna tell me where we are?" He let go of my hand and put his hands on my cheeks.
"Before I take your blindfold off, can I please kiss you?" He asked, putting his forehead on mine. I smiled as I nodded my head and he connected our mouths as he undid my blindfold. I wrapped my arms around his neck as he put his around my waist.
This is what I mean. The world around us could be engulfed in flames right now and I wouldn't even notice because of him. He is my distraction. And I hope I am his.
I pulled away and put my forehead on his. "Why did you ask if you could kiss me? You knew I would say yes." I said looking in his eyes.
"I read in a book that girls like being asked before. Quote 'consent is both the bare minimum and sexy.'" I've never found a man more attractive than I find him right now.
"Yup you're very hot." I said, looking into his eyes. He smirked and kissed me again. This kiss was passionate. He pulled back after a while and looked at me.
"God you're so beautiful." He said.
Shit. He made me blush this time.
"You ready to see our first date?" He asked, still looking at me. I had completely forgotten where we were. I nodded my head as he stepped behind me, hugging my waist.
He took me to the lookout point he took me to the first time he got his day time permit. Before we started hating each other.
We started developing hatred for each other when we were fifteen, when everything in his life went down hill. I was a bad person. I knew things were bad and yet I did nothing to help. All of this was my fault. The reason we were the way we were for so long is because of me.
"I'm sorry." I said turning to face him.
"What could you possibly be sorry for?" He asked, looking confused.
"For when we were fifteen. I should have-" I said, getting cut off by him.
"Sophia stop. That was a long time ago. You and I were both young. I went through things no fifteen year old should go through. I didn't expect you to be there with me. I was shocked when your brother was there." He said. "I didn't bring you here to remind you of that day. I brought you here because this is where I first fell in love with you." He said. I widened my eyes.
"You loved me?" I asked looking at his face. He has a nice face.
"Of course I did. You were the first person I ever loved." He said gripping my face.
