I woke up on his chest, him still asleep. That's a first. He's always the first to wake up. He's sitting there looking perfect and innocent. I guess looks can be deceiving.

I started trying to get up but I couldn't. I hate this man. I tried waking him up nicely but that didn't work so I slapped his chest causing him to stir. He started groaning as I slapped him again.

"Stop hitting me and lay down." He said, still half asleep, while grabbing my waist and pulling me down.

"I'm hungry." I said, submitting to his motion and laying on his chest.

He snickered under his breath and said, "Well can't you just get up and go get food?"

"Screw you." I said as I hit his chest again but didn't move.

"Mm you already did." He said, laughing again. I shoved my head in his chest to keep him from seeing my blushing face. "Aw you suddenly shy, cupcake?"

"Shut up." I said, trying not to laugh.

"But seriously, do you—I mean are you—" he stuttered, struggling to speak.

"Zach," I said, getting his attention. "Other than not being able to move my legs, I'm perfect."

"Yeah?" He asked looking down at me, a smile creeping on his face.

I connected our mouths as an answer. He deepened the kiss, running his fingers through my hair.

"I'm actually hungry now honey. Can you take me downstairs?" I said to him. "Please?" I asked looking into his eyes with puppy eyes. He got out of the bed and picked me up before getting me pajamas. I'm guessing he was smart for the first time ever and he was going to make it look like we were clothed all night.

He picked me up again and we walked downstairs to see my parents in the kitchen.

"Well hello." My father said, looking at us with his eyebrows furrowed. "What happened to you?" I looked over to see my mother smirking, knowing damn well what happened.

"I—um— twisted my ankle yesterday." I said as Zach put me down on the counter.

"Mmm and—just curious—was your ankle wearing protection?" She said, making Zach laugh. My eyes widened and my face heated up as she smirked at me.

At that moment, James and Anna walked downstairs and my mother went over to them.

"It was funny." Zach said, looking at the annoyed look on my face. I turned my head, pretending to be mad and he just kissed my cheek. "Sophia" He whined into my ear as I ignored him. "I love you." He said, now kissing my neck.

"Whatever. I love you too I guess." I said, rolling my eyes, trying not to smile. He looked up at me then walked over to my brother and dad when he saw Anna coming over to me.

"Hi!" She said, hugging me. "Why are you sitting on the counter?" She asked, laughing.

"Truth?" I said, smirking as her face dropped. "I kinda can't walk right now. Or even stand, for that matter." I said, making her jaw drop.
