11. Why's Amber in Paris?

Ambers been oddly quiet since her arrival. She's seemed to be looking for something. And Lila on the other hand also was quiet but she seemed to be hiding from something. Marinette thought if there was a connection but instantly ignored the thought being that there's no way Lila and Amber could be in any way related or have something to do with each other. It was Marinette's lunch break and she was just chilling by herself for once. Marinette then saw Lila run by and Amber follow. Marinette got up and followed. Sure Marinette didn't like Lila but she absolutely despised Amber and if this was what she thought this was. She couldn't sit by and let Amber bully Lila. Marinette followed the two all the way up to the roof. She hid and decided to just listen for a second and not make a fool out of herself. Amber called out, "Lila! Get out of the sun!" Lila didn't listen and looked around obviously looking for the next place to run. Amber then said, "Lila why are you running?!" This made Marinette confused cause Amber seemed actually concerned. Lila turned around and both Amber and Marinette could see the tears running down her face. Marinette was shocked never seeing Lila like this. Lila didn't say anything she just continued to look around. The door to the roof opened and Marcus walked out. His eyes immediately widened at the sight he was. Before he could say anything Lila dashed past him hating the thought of anyone seeing her like this. Amber yelled out, "LILA!" Then ran after her. Marcus stood their shocked and Marinette then came out of hiding. Marcus immediately saw Marinette and asked, "What just happened!?" Marinette answered, "I'm not exactly sure... but I think Lila and Amber are somehow connected..." Marinette then went on to explain her realization and what she saw on the roof before Marcus had came. Marcus then said, "We could probably get our answers tonight!" Marinette then said, "What do you mean Marcus?" Marcus answered, "If Lila really is trying to avoid Amber she'll probably come to our house again tonight. Cause if she did it the first time that probably means Amber may have found her or something." Marinette then said, "Okay but how does that get us to get our answers?" Marcus replied, "Well if Lila went to our home it probably means she has no other option. Which means we can ask her in exchange for staying with us." Marinette says, "Isn't that a bit like blackmail." Marcus replies, "Noooo... it's an exchange.... And if anything she's cheating us not the other way around..." Marinette then replied in a sassy tone that basically screams stop lying, "Mhmmmm...." Marcus weakly smiles and shrugs.

A little angst in this for Lila and Amber. This chapter/page feels weird to me... Im not used to trying to do angst in my stories it feels weird... And now that Im actually posting it I don't know. But anyways I guess it doesn't matter now cause if you're reading it I evidently left it alone. Bug out miraculors!
