Vi x Reader (Arcane: LoL)

Another Day

YOUR POV..

     I wake up on a couch. I recognize it easily, and I sit up. I rub my eyes and look around. No one was here? I mean, it's the underneath of the Last Drop, so where's Vi and her friends? I look at the little container on the table. There was a note attached to it that said 'For the girl that makes me-'

     "Melt." A voice from behind me says. I jump at it and look, seeing Violet. My cheeks turn a light shade of pink from the message. "Open it." She says, coming around the couch to sit next to me. I slowly open it, making sure to be gentle. I didn't wanna mess up one of Powders drawings. I look inside of the box and tear up. It was the necklace that my father gave me before he died, but it was fixed. I looked over at Vi who was already looking at me. She points at another note inside of the box. "The perfect necklace, for the perfect girl." I read it out loud.

     I pull Violet into a hug, tears leaving my face. I smile into her shoulder and feel her hug tighter. I let the last tear fall, holding the rest back. I pull back and look at Violet. She wipes my tears with her callused fingers, and I hold her hand on my face, leaning into it. She grabs the necklace with the other hand, looking at me. I let her hand go and she unclasps the necklace. I turn around so she can put it on me. I hear the necklace click and I turn back around to look at her. My face goes red from the distance between our faces. She stares at me for a few minutes until I clear my throat and look away.

     "Thank you, Violet." I look at her again and smile. She nods at me and smiles back. I swore I saw her lean in before Powder burst into the room. "Oh, hey Pow-Pow!" 

     "Hart!" She says, jumping onto me. I laugh and hug her. She faces Violet, still sitting on my lap. Powder was such a sweet kid. "What were you guys doing?" 

     "Giving her a gift." Violet says with a smile. "Pow, why don't you go and get Ekko, okay?" She tells Powder, and she runs out of the room. I laugh lightly, turning my vision back to Violet. "Hart.." She says quietly before grabbing my hand. "I have to tell you something." 

     "What is it?" I ask.

     "The job that I took everyone on yesterday.. it went wrong." She said and I furrowed my brows in confusion. "The enforcers. They're looking for someone to arrest." Suddenly, my heart drops.

     "Vi.. you're not thinking of-" She cuts me off.

     "It's the only way, Hart." She says, noticing my eyes starting to tear up. 

     "Violet, you know Vander would never let that happen, right?" I said with a laugh. It was still hard for me to believe her.

     "I know, which is why.." She took a deep breath. "Which is why I'm asking you to help me."

     "What? Do you think I'm crazy? I'm not helping you do that." I said, tears starting to run down my face. "Why would you ask me?"

     "Because you are the one I really trust, Cupcake.." She said, putting her hand on my face and wiping away the tears. "Besides.. you'll have that knife to remember me by, okay?" A sad smile formed on her face. 

     "Fine.." I said, looking her in the eye. My expression suddenly saddened again. "But what about Powder?.." 

     "I've seen how well you take care of Ekko, so you can have her, too.. plus she also has Mylo and Claggor." I put my head down, looking at our hands that were connected. She took her hand away, grabbing my face with it and the other one as well. She pulled my face up to look at her. "Don't cry, Cupcake.. I'll always be here." She said, poking my chest and putting her hands back on my face. She pulled my face towards hers, leaning her forehead against mine.

     "I'm gonna miss you.. so much.." I said, my voice cracking from holding back all the tears. She pulled me into a hug, burying her face into my neck.

     "I'll miss you too, but I swear I'll get out one day.. and that day will be the day I find you again, okay?" She says into my neck before giving it a gentle kiss. My face doesn't hesitate to go red at the action, and she pulls her face up. "Okay?" She asks again. I nod my head.

     Me and Vi wait in Benzos shop for the enforcers. Apparently she knew where they would come to arrest someone. She sat in a chair anxiously, her leg bouncing up and down. I sat on the floor in the opposite corner of the room, trying not to cry. I had to stay strong for her. 

     "Cupcake?" I hear her say. Her voice is shaky.

     "Yeah?" I say, not looking up from the ground.

     "When this is all over.. and I'm taken away.." She took a deep breath. "Don't get yourself killed. You won't have a muscular pink haired girl to protect you anymore." I looked up at her.

     "Don't remind me, Violet.." I said with a small frown. I got up and walked over to her. She stood up. I pulled her in for one last hug before she had to go. "I really am gonna miss you, though.." She pulled away, holding my face. She pulled my face in, our foreheads leaning against each other. 

     "Hey, Cupcake?" She said with a hint of sadness in her tone. I let out a small 'Hm' in response. "I hope that in the future if anything happens to you, I'll find someone as good as you.." She says before closing the gap between us. I easily melt into the kiss, my hands finding her waist. I pull away, looking at her and breathing heavily.

     "You just kissed me.." I breathe out.

     "Something good for you to remember before I-" She gets stopped by someone coming in. I look around to see someone unexpected.
