YOUR POV..

I stand up with Scar's kid still in my arms, and I look around for Vi. I find her sitting by herself at the painting. I look back at Scar and he holds his arms out for his kid. He looks at Scar, and turns back to me. I laugh and Scar just looks at me with an offended face.

"My own kid." He said with a hand over his heart like he was hurt. I nod my head towards Vi and me and him start walking over.

"Hey, dead girl." I said and she snaps her head back. She looks at me and her look softens. My expression stays blank, but I know my eyes were longing for her.

"So uh.. is that your.. husband and kid?" She asks me. I look at her confused and then my eyes widen. I let out a laugh. She looks at me.

"Oh my god you weren't joking." I say, and I continue to laugh. I hand Scar his kid back. "No, Violet. This is Scar. He's like an older brother, but he acts like hes my dad or something." I see her face go red from embarrassment. She starts apologizing, but Scar assures her she's fine. I slowly stop laughing, and I look at Scar. I nod at him and he starts walking away.

"Been awhile, Cupcake." She says and looks me straight in the eye. "Are you gonna sit?" I look at her and take a seat next to her. We sit in an awkward silence, until I break it.

"Where were you..? All these years, I thought you were dead." I said, holding back the tears.

"I, uh, I was in Stillwater." She said. My eyes widened at her.

"So you didn't just abandon us for the topsiders?" I said. When she came back I truly thought that instead of dying, Violet just ran to the topside and left us all. "Violet, I really thought you were dead, and then when you came back-" She cut me off.

"What? I would never have left you if I had a choice, cupcake.." She said, pulling me into a hug. I didn't hug back, but I didn't push her away, either. "God, I missed you.. I missed you so, so much.." She said. I heard her voice crack. I couldn't stop myself from hugging back. We sat there like that for a few minutes. We finally pulled apart after awhile.

"So you and the piltie?" I said, nudging her side. My face was still upset looking, but I tried not to show it.

"Caitlyn? No." She said with a laugh. "I've own ever truly loved one person.."

"And who would that be?" I asked with my brows raised.

     "Nobody in particular."

"Hm. If you say so." I said.

"When did you get so jacked?" Vi asked me. I looked at her in confusion.

"Oh- something that happened once I joined the Firelights. Ekko was determined to have something better for the people of Zaun, so we created this place. Mostly him, though. I'm here to make sure things stay smooth. If something ever happened to the Firelights, they would be handed to me and Scar, but I don't think we would even be able to run them as well as Ekko. He knows how to keep things in order with them." I said.

"That's what they're called?" She looks at me. I nod my head. "And what do you mean you wouldn't run them as well? When you guys did that falling stunt before you kidnapped me and Caitlyn, it looked sick. I saw the way you and Scar worked with each other. Even though I preferred you to not knock Caitlyn out, the way Scar picked you up with the kunai's rope was pretty awesome, I guess."

"You guess? No, you know." I said.

"I'm just surprised you kept it." She said. I looked at her confused. "The kunai I got you when we were 15."

"Oh- that. Yeah, it's the only thing I fight well with." I said, tossing it in my hand. "It's the only thing I chose to fight with when I was training. Anything else felt wrong."

"I know what you mean. Every night in Stillwater when I couldn't fall asleep, I liked to pretend that you were there.. cuddling me.. telling me it would all be okay.. and it was like I could really feel you, so I looked behind me.. but you were never there." She said with a tear running down her face. "Every night in that hellhole.. I dreamt of you. I constantly heard you behind me, or next to me. I replayed the last moment I saw you every second of the day." She said, more tears coming down. She looked down, trying to hide them.

"Hey, I'm here now. It's okay, Vi." I said, holding her face. I wiped away the tears with my hands. She looked at me softly, and I smiled at her. "You have me now, and I'm not going anywhere if I can help it." She held my hand onto her face longer, and leaned into my touch. Was she this touch-starved?

I slowly got up, and she did the same. We walked over to Ekko who was talking to Caitlyn. They were talking about some kind of gemstone. I looked at Vi and told her I'd be right back. She nodded and started listening to the conversation. I walked into the Firelight building where Scar was, and sat down. I started speaking, but I made sure I was quiet because Scars kid was sleeping.

     "Thank you." I said.

"For what?" He said, confused at what I was thanking him for.

"For making me talk to Vi." I said.

"I didn't make you do anything, Hart. You did that on your own. All I did was suggest it." He said.

"Yeah, but you still pushed me to do it." I said. He sighed, but before he could speak, I got up and hugged him. He hugged back and smiled. "Seriously, thank you." He just nodded and I walked out. Vi looked over and saw me walking. She smiled and looked back at Ekko and Cait. "What're you guys talking about?"

"We're giving the gemstone back to Piltover." Ekko said. My eyes widen.

"Why?! They've done nothing but hurt us, so why are we helping them? Let the damn city crumble and die already." I said, scoffing. Vi looked at me, a surprised look in her eyes. She wasn't used to me talking like that. I was always the one that wanted to help when I was younger, but like she said, people change.

"Hart, this could be the thing that leads us to peace between the cities." Ekko said. I sighed in frustration, and looked at him.

"Fine, but I'm coming with you." I said.

"Hart, it's too dangerous." Vi said.

"You don't get to make decisions for me, Violet." I said. Ekko started to try and convince me not to go. "Ekko." Ekko stopped talking immediately, and just listened. Vi was about to protest until Ekko stopped her.

"She's not gonna stop. Even if we tell her no, she'll come." He said. Vi sighed and started walking.
