(Sorry if those chapters seemed a bit rushed, I was just really excited to start these ones! Also, how're we liking it so far? And we have now time-skipped 6 years.)

YOUR POV..

I walked outside, looking at the tree. I smiled to myself at it. It was the beginning of this place, the place of peace. The place that me and Ekko built out of nothing.. I walked over to the wall with paintings of everyone we had lost. I finished putting on one of my gloves, not taking my eyes away from the painting of Violet. It still hurt, you know. Walking out here everyday only to be reminded of the thing I could've helped stop. I jumped as someone next to me started speaking.

"You okay, Hart?" I looked over at Ekko as he spoke.

"It's getting easier.. still hurts, though." I said, glancing at the painting one more time before walking away with Ekko.

"We might need your help for this thing me and the Firelights are doing." Ekko said. I was the person Ekko would come to if he needed help. I was the only person he trusted with the Firelights. I raised my brows. "We're raiding some cargo."

"Why? What's so important about it?" I asked him.

"Silco decided it was time to start smuggling shimmer into the topside." He said. I stopped walking.

"So? Why help them? They've never done anything besides neglect us, anyway." I said with a small scoff. He looked up at me.

"Listen, I don't like them either.. but if Silco gets the people on topside to start following him for shimmer.. nothing will ever be able to change." He said. I sighed, knowing he was right. "And plus, this could help us stop him. We could try and find some stuff. Find out where he's making all of this, and not just the big factory."

"Fine. I'll help. But why do you even need me? Everyone in the Firelights seem pretty good at fighting, so why do you need an extra?" I asked him.

"I just have a bad feeling about this one." He said. I put my head down, remembering the last time he had a bad feeling about something. "Plus, you won't be fighting. I need you to hover outside of the cargo incase something happens. We don't know how many people from Silco's crew will be there." I hum in response, resuming walking. He led me to the room with the hoverboards, the rest of the Firelights already being there.

"Hey Ekko. Hey Hart." One of the pink haired kids said. He was about 15. Most of the kids here looked up to me and Ekko as older siblings. Ekko nodded at him, walking over to the hoverboards.

"Hey Pinky." I said, walking over to him and ruffling his hair. He shooed my hand away and I laughed.

"Are you coming too? Ekko didn't tell us." Another kid asked from the middle of the room.

"Yup." I said, walking over to Ekko. "Am I riding with you, or taking my own this time?"

"Taking your own. I don't want to hold you the hold time." He said with a chuckle, handing me my own. I leaned it against the wall, grabbing the hood, mask, and coat/robe that Ekko had us wear. He said it was too dangerous to have our identities revealed. He wasn't wrong. I mean, imagine the kids that would lose their lives if Silco found out. I slipped on the coat, then the hood, and waited to put the mask on.

"I'm proud of you, little man." I said, giving him a hug. I still called him little man, because I was an inch taller. He was 5'8, and I was 5'9.

"Where's this coming from?" He asked with a confused face.

"I mean, look at this.. you created a whole society. You gave people a second chance at life." I said.

"Hey, you helped too. You always give yourself less credit. Without you, this society wouldn't be running so smoothly." He said, patting me on the shoulder before walking away. He held the door open, waiting for all of us to leave. We put our masks on, walking out of the building. Ekko walked in front of all of us, as I stayed at the back. I always stayed in the back to make sure none of the kids got hurt. I don't know what I would do if one of them ended up getting hurt at mine and Ekkos hands. As we entered the undercity, each of us jumped on our hoverboards, one at a time. I was last to jump on, speeding up quickly. I still stayed back, making sure everyone was in front of me.

---

We arrived at the cargo, all of us slowing down. Everyone starting hopping off of their hoverboards. I stayed on mine, making sure I was out of sight. Ekko walked over to Silco's crew. I leaned my head in, looking closer. Gosh, did they bring a whole army? I mean, it's Silco. Why wouldn't he.. I watched as they completely obliterated them.

Silco's right hand woman was stuck to the crates, not being able to move. Suddenly, a cloud of smoke came out of a trap door hidden on the floor. The Firelights leaned in with caution, trying to see what was going on. I did the same, gasping as I saw two blue braids. Shit, Jinx. I started riding my hoverboard into the cargo. Before I could get there, Jinx threw two of her bombs at the kids.

"NO!" I shouted as loud as possible. Ekko looked at me, distracted. I looked as there was now a purple flame, and Jinx had the pink haired boy in her grasp. I jumped off of my hoverboard, into the cargo, but it was too late. The boy had tried to run, and Jinx shot him. I looked up at Jinx, taking out the Kunai Violet got me when we were teens. I saw Jinx's face look surprised, and I looked back at Ekko. He shook his head at me, telling me not to. "Take him. Leave." I said. He huffed in frustration, grabbing the boy and riding off.
