"I just got on the phone with you and your already wary of me drinking."My mothers first "check in" with me since I've been at MU and she's already concerned I might get roofied at a party or something.
"Well you said you were at a party last night Y/N!" My mom replied. I pinched the bridge of my nose, "I was not at the party, I witnessed a portion of it. Hell I don't think I can even consider that participating."
My ears twitched when I heard mom start chuckling on the receiving end of the call, "I'm just messing with you pumpkin, I'm still a bit flabbergasted that my daughter is in college right now. You know me and your dad met each other at a party during our sophomore year at MU, and you know what we did that night?"
I snorted, "Okay if your asking me if I already partied too hard don't even think about telling that story." I said.
She laughed at my comment. I held the phone between my ear and shoulder as I lifted my tail up and combed through my tails furry tip. During our conversation about school I was mostly replied with a lot of silent humming of a whole bunch of "uh huh's".
Or so I thought.
"Have you met somebody yet?" I felt so stunned I dropped my phone and comb.
"What? Met somebody? Mom w-what are you on about?" I stuttered frantically picking up the phone?
"I was saying have you met anybody, made any new friends? Mike is still around right?"
I silently let out a sigh, "Oh! Yes, right right right. Mike and I still talk, and I've become friends with my roommate too." I said.
God why did I freak out in that way? She could have worded it better so that what Charlie said last night wouldn't come back to my head again. "Okay momma dearest nice talk."
"Okay Y/N I love you sweetheart!" Mom said.
After I said bye I hung up. Of course I instinctively flipped out like that when I misheard my mother. Not many monsters know that I am a painfully single women, and I am...
100% okay with that! For sure!

I met up with Mike and Randy just outside of school, we're supposed to be inside in just a few minutes so in the mean time I was writing in notes from yesterdays session.
The three of us sat on the steps outside and waiting for the bell to ring for us to head in when Randy spoke up. "You know those cupcakes I made yesterday Mike?"
Mike didn't look up from the book he was reading, "Uh huh, yeah?"
"When I was at the JOX house somebody shoved themselves into me and let's just say my eyes were filled with frosting in front of the girls I was trying to talk too."
Mikes eye widened and his expression showed worry, "Oh, well that must have sucked huh wild man?" He said.
I stopping my writing, not to listen to my friends conversation but to glance at the RORS, who had included Sullivan wearing a matching sweater alongside them. They were chatting amongst themselves in the distance walking to the scaring school. Sullivan noticed me and slyly winked at my direction.
I scoffed rolling my eyes and glared at him. But my expression changed when Sullivan whispered something to Worthington who was right next to him, causing the purple monster to take a semi curious, semi annoyed look at me. My ears flattened and my eyes filled with unease as I stuffed my nose into my note book trying to direct my attention elsewhere. I muttered quietly "Don't look at me don't look at me don't look at me" till I felt Mike shake my shoulder.
