Sick

"Paimon, I need to go! I need to finish the Shogun training! I won't be able to find my sibling if I don't finish my business here in Inazuma!" I shouted.

"Y/N! Ayaka-San said you were sick! She told you to rest for the day! Get back in bed!" Paimon kicked her legs and pulled on my arm.

"Paimon!"

"Y/N!"

I huffed. "You have bruises and burn marks all over your body! You haven't taken a single break since we first arrived in Mondstadt! It is just one day. The resistance isn't meeting today, and nothing is happening with the Vision Hunt Decree as far as we're aware—" Paimon tried to reason.

"As far as we're aware, Paimon. I'm fine."

Paimon's eyebrows furrowed, and she set her hands on her hips. "Y/N."

I stared at her for a moment. She had somewhat of a point. If Yae or Ayaka saw me working, they'd send me home.

But Scaramouche told me to meet him in Chinju Forest tonight.

I could always sneak out when Paimon's sleeping.

"...Fiiiiiine, Paimon. I'll stay... I suppose I have been feeling a little under the weather." I gave in.

"Yes! Paimon will take care of you! Go back to your bedroom, now." Paimon ordered.

.....

I was sitting at the island in the house when there was a knock at the door.

"Paimon will get it!"

There are only three people in Inazuma who have access to my Serenitea Pot: Ayaka, Yoimiya, and Thoma.

Thoma was the correct answer, though.

"Good afternoon, Paimon." He said.

"Thoma! Come in!" Paimon exclaimed.

"Not you letting people into my house without my permission." I joked. I stood up from my seat in the kitchen and made my way over to them. "Hello, Thoma. What brings you here, mate?"

It was then that I realized he had a bowl in his hands. "I thought that since you weren't feeling well, I should make you some soup. Young children tend to get sick from the high levels of electro traces in the air, so it wouldn't be the first time I helped out with such a thing." He handed me the bowl. "Just nuke it for a minute, and it should be good." He smiled.

I didn't know what to say to that. It's not every day that someone puts thought into a gift they give me.

"'Nuke?' What are you, my grandma?" I chuckled.

"On second thought, you seem fine. I don't think you need my special Thoma soup." He frowned.

"No, no, no. I'm very siiiiick Thoma, I need this soup. Thank you. Not everyone is as kind as you are, and I appreciate you."

His smile returned. "Good! I'll get going, then. Get well soon, Superstar." Thoma walked away from the house, and I shut the door.

When I turned around, Paimon was smirking at me.

"That was an interesting interaction." She said.

"...Okay?"

.....

Paimon kept me entertained the whole day. She read books, told me stories, and made my soup.

At around ten at night, she put me to bed.

Or so she thought.

"Okay, Y/N. Paimon's getting tired from taking care of you all day. She's gonna go to bed, so you should too!"
