There are spoilers for the Archon Quest in this chapter. Read at your own risk, and don't be mad if you get spoiled. Also, there's (consensual) smut in this chapter. In case you're triggered by that, I put a little mark a bit before the smut starts. You can just close out of this chapter at that point :)

……….

"Kujuo Sara!" I shouted. Paimon and I ran after her. She was on her way to the Raiden Shogun.

She was far ahead of us. Not only did she get a head start, but she's surprisingly fast.

And apparently, she's strong, too. The guards outside the building she went into had men on the ground, groaning with pain.

I quickly rushed in to see Sara on the ground and La Signora talking to the Shogun.

Signora scoffed, "You let just anyone in here?"

"Sara!" Paimon shrieked upon seeing her unconscious.

Signora said some shit that I did not care to pay attention to. One thing led to another, and I ended up challenging her to a duel (dxmibby is tired pls leave me alone).

"A duel in front of the Raiden Shogun? You do understand that one of us will die, correct?" She said.

"That's a risk I'm willing to take."

The Shogun nodded her head, "I'll allow it."

.....

Trying to beat Signora's first phase was hard. As she was shooting icicles at me and was, at one point, a literal fucking iceberg. I was only able to use my hydro vision, as well. I had to be careful that she wouldn't strike me with her ice and freeze parts of my body.

Once she changed elements, it was easier.

Somewhat.

She became more vicious with her attacks, now shooting fire at me. I found myself getting dizzy from rolling around to dodge the massive amounts of pyro that were aimed at me. It was easier to block attacks, though.

I used my hydro powers to put out most fires sent towards me, and I was able to keep the floor a bearable temperature to stand on (Not canon).

After hitting her enough times, she stopped using her vision and fell to the ground. I had my sword pointed at her, ready to deal the final blow, when I remembered something Kunikuzushi had once said.

"The ten other Harbingers... are more like a family than anyone else."

And another thing he had said.

"La Signora..." He had said, "In a way, I suppose she's like a sister to me. Like I'd said before, the Fatui is like the family I never got to have.

"While she is like family, I can't say I necessarily like her all that much. But I suppose it would be in the way a brother dislikes his sister.

"I don't want to kill anyone in the Fatui." He continued, "We might have to kill the Tsaritsa to put an official end to it... but I wouldn't want to kill any of the other Harbingers unless absolutely necessary. Some of them... Like Tartaglia for example, are only there because they need some kind of safety. Some are only following orders so they don't end up with their necks apart from their heads."

…Why did I have to remember that?

I don't… want to kill her.

"What are you waiting for?" Signora asked quietly. "I thought this was what you wanted! Kill me!" Her cries rang in my ears.
