💞 Chapter Twelve 💞

Mercy....

"Cupcake? Are you in there?"
Dad called out to me as he pushed my bedroom door open.

"Dad, there is a need to knock and show courtesy" i said raising up my face to look at his tall handsome feature before me.

He walked over to my dresser with my eyes following him behind. He dragged out my chair and take his sit with the chair back facing me and his back facing my dresser.

"Dad is there something wrong?" I asked him getting anxious. He looked at me and nods his head signally that there is no need for worries. Letting my novel 'Only A Black' drop off my hand to the bed. I adjusted my yoga sitting position to face him.

"I need to discuss some serious issues with you before you go to bed. So that you can think over it and make up your mind" daddy said before clearing his throat.
I became attentive to what he has to say, affirming i might have an idea of what he his up to tonight. He is my man and i know him like the back of my hands but of course,his woman knows him more than i do.

"Dad...I believe there is no problem?" I asked.
He let his eyes scan through all the pictures on my wall. Getting to our family portrait i had over my bedside and then his glare stopped.

"How time flies" he said. Making me to giggle shyly."you were once my little girl, daddy's best friend and only army until Phoebe came along. You girls mean the world to me and the best gift i can ever ask for. Your mom was worried about not giving us my gender two years after we had Phoebe in our lives, but do you know what i told her?—" he paused, waiting for my answer as if i knew what he told mom. I shook my head as a no to him with my eyes glinting with interest. He smiled weakly and continued in his deep slow gentle voice"-I told her our family is perfect before God and man has no other objections but to accept it. You three are the best things that has ever happened to my life and i don't want people feeling sorry for me, for my girls will bring me sons and rule over my kingdom."
He stopped taking his eyes back to the photo.

"I love the sight of men with there sons but i love the Companion of my daughter more." He took a deep breath and let it all out. "You know that i am ready to do and go to any limits for you girls right?" I chuckled and fell on my bed backwards.

"Tell me princess, aren't i a great Dad to you, Phoebe and Sarah...huh?" He asked in a playful way. I rise off my bed and shift to his side.

I know his up to something and we are going to have a prep talk tonight. Maybe about something a little serious.

"Dad....you know the answer to that question. And Mr going beyond limits, i don't what you trying to fix up a date for me anymore. I will soon be going to school and time is running out on me" i buffed and rolled my eyes out. "Jason is the last guy I'm going to have anything with that if fixed by you" i says.

"No honey you are getting me all wrong." He declared, i twist my head to the side with the attitude of are you kidding me.

"I'm serious, you got to believe your man on this. That little dude really like your gen even though no guy has really showed that kind of interest in you"
He said. My eyes flew wide open at his revelation.

How can it be possible? So many guys like me. I'm a drop dead beauty to behold and no beast have ever come my way without stealing a second look.

"Dad, what are you trying to say?" I ask him in order for him to elaborate.

"Honey I haven't told you this before but the truth is that, non of those boys really like you. Like how can I put this?" He stopped to wrinkle his nose. Out of the blue, he snapped out his fingers.
"Yeah I get it. Now Iet's take it this way" he said and looked at me as if trying to read my thoughts "relationship is like food....different dishes of delicacy prepared by the same Cook. For instant let's pick pudding, we all like pudding right? It's comes in different flavors,colours and looks. And all it's features make us to have prefers of one over the other."
