The next school day is absolute hell for Adrien Agreste. Alya, of course, blabbed her mouth all over her stupid blog, and now the entirety of Paris is gossiping about Chat Noir's sexuality. God, Adrien is mad. The worst part is that he has to interact with Alya during school, and he has to pretend like he isn't incredibly annoyed with her. Because if he expresses his annoyance, the whole school might think that he's homophobic-

God. Adrien shakes with anger when he sees her strutting into class, looking pleased as punch with herself. He shows great restraint by not punching her in her stupid smarmy face. All he can do is ignore her.

Just like he's ignoring the frantic DMs he got from Ladybug this morning. Adrien actually blocked her. Out of sight, out of mind. It wasn't her place to worry about his sexuality. It wasn't anyone's place.

IT CERTAINLY WASN'T ALYA'S!

IT CERTAINLY WASN'T ALYA'S!

Every time she speaks in class (and she sure speaks a lot), Adrien's headache gets a little worse. By lunchtime, his brain is bleeding out of his ears. And he's expected to sit with his friend group at lunch, which includes Alya....! From now on, Adrien would be doing his own research. Not relying on a girl who LARPs as a journalist; half of her information about Giorno's gang probably wasn't correct, anyways. Alya's not a reputable source. Uuuugh.

Adrien sits down at their lunch table with a frown welded onto his face.

And of course Alya's the first to sit down next to him. "Adrien, have you heard the news about Chat Noir-"

"YES." He cuts her off. "Yes, I have."

"Did you read my article?"

"Yes," Adrien lies, stuffing a forkful of salad into his mouth. "You've gone too far. You've invaded his privacy; I'm sure he's not pleased about you outing him."

Alya blinks. "He allowed me to publish it. He read it over."

"I really don't think he did." More salad shoved into his mouth. "You've really gone too far, Alya."

"........"

The tension's broken when Marinette plops down at the table. Well, sort of. Marinette always makes Adrien feel a little queasy, due to her not-so-subtle flirting, but today she provides some relief from Alya's dumbassery.

"Oh, hey, Adrien," she says, taking a bite of a croissant. "Did you hear about Ch-"

"I have a massive headache," Adrien interrupts, standing up too-quickly. "I'm going to the nurse's office. Bye, Alya, Marinette."

Not "goodbye". They don't deserve a "good" bye.

He does head to the nurse's office, because he really does have a massive headache. The nurse urges him to take some Tylenol, rest for a bit, head back to class, but Adrien opts to call his dad. Promptly, he sends Nathalie down to the school to pick him up. Perhaps that's the greatest advantage of his overprotective father.
