i call theo and he picks up.

- hey... can we meet?

- i... can't, i mean, i LITERALLY can't, i'm... i'm getting on a plane in like... twelve minutes.

i freeze and hang up. i got to run. i MUST run. i start running to the airport like crazy and get there in ten minutes. i start looking for theo like crazy.

- THEO! - i scream. he listens. he's already boarding the plane but he turns around.

- liam? - i run towards him.

- theo, please, stay! i know i said awful things to you but that was the I.E.D. speaking, i'm so sorry! we can work this out, please, don't leave me! i can't handle it! not again.

- i'm sorry, liam, i can't! i don't deserve you, any of you! just... let me go, for both of our sakes! - he turns around and almost goes inside the plane. i follow him and grab his arm.

- theo, PLEASE! I LOVE YOU! IF YOU WANT MY SAKE DON'T LEAVE ME AGAIN! so, if you're really going, you're gonna have to hurt me because i won't be letting go of your arm. - we both start crying.

- LET ME GO.

i turn him around and kiss him. our foreheads touch. - if you wanna choose hayden, i can live with it, i just can't live without you around. please...

he looks into my eyes. - i can't choose at all! that's why i have to go before i ruin your relationship.

- you won't ruin anything, believe me, i love hayden. if you can't choose, that's fine, we can figure it out, but with you here - i hold his hand - please, i beg you.

he thinks about it for a couple of seconds. - okay, i'll stay. - he leaves the boarding queue.

i give a big smile. - REALLY? - i hug him tightly and close my eyes. - thank you so much!

he pulls away from the hug. - i'm going to a hotel, sorry. - he starts walking away.

- uhm, theo. - i call him.

he stops and turns around. - yeah?

- do you wanna stay in our place? the guest room is empty since... well, since you left town, but it's clean, and you won't have to pay for it. you can stay as long as you want.

he smiles softly. - thank you. can you give me a ride?

- actually... my car's not here. i came running, you know, because i thought you were leaving, but i'll call an uber and pay for the ride.

- no need, i can walk back home. UHM, I MEANT, YOUR HOME, I... I KNOW THE WAY...

i smile. - it's your home too, theo, and we'll walk back home together, then.

- thank you. - he smiles genuinely.
