The night had already enveloped all of Teyvat into its welcoming arms. A full moon had risen over to the top of the sky, and the lights of the lamps throughout Liyue Harbor had already been lit up, emitting a warm, orange glow that appeared like burning stars on the ground. The once crowded streets of Chihu Rock were now almost completely empty, as the masses of the inhabiting citizens and adventurers hailing from all around Teyvat had moved to either the northern or southern wharfs.
In each of their hands were the peoples' choice of lantern creations they had made for it to be released into the midnight sky over Teyvat. These lanterns were to honor the fallen adeptus Skybracer.
On one of the towers that stood tall in Liyue Harbor, sitting on the roof is a young man with a purple diamond marking resting on the middle of his forehead. With his hair slicked back and his cat-like eyes observing the crowds below, he also seemed to be observing the night as it progressed.
However, a particular promise was made between one of the two most known women in Liyue Harbor. And tonight, that promise was either going to be made, or unfortunately be cut short if one of them had decided to not show up.
As the time of the release of the lanterns drew near and the air was already filled with the aromas of the different dishes of Liyue, the once guard-filled Yuehai Pavilion became empty. These Millelith Guards were moved and stationed to the wharfs of Liyue Harbor, since most of its people and its visitors has congregated there.
One woman approached the concrete steps of Yujing Terrace that would eventually lead into Yuehai Pavilion. The woman, as recalled by Paimon and the Traveler hours ago, is named Beidou, the captain of the Crux Fleet. Although she had worn her usual attire earlier today, when she approached Yujing Terrace, she had worn a different outfit. Tonight, Captain Beidou happened to be wearing a more formal attire; she was wearing a long sleeved white button down shirt that was tucked under a pair of long, high waisted pleated pants. Over her long sleeved button down was a fitted scarlet red blazer which complimented the overall red gradient of her attire. Beidou was also wearing red high heel shoes that was outlined with a thin, black dragon design on the front of them.
As she finished walking up the concrete steps, Beidou then traced her steps from hours before. She walked over the small stone bridge that covered the small lake harboring small aquatic life, such as the golden bass and the lotus heads propped up at the edge of the lake. She had also noticed that there were new placed stone lamps resting at both sides of the path that she was taking through the gate, where she knew where the Rite of Descension had once taken place.
Approaching the railings of Yujing Terrace where she and her companions were at before, she then leaned towards the railing with the side of her body. She was turned towards the golden-roofed house of the terrace and was looking towards the doors of the house. Perhaps the woman that she will be meeting tonight will walk out of those doors.
