It was another quiet and rainy morning in the city of Liyue Harbor. With its cement skyscrapers and its buildings piercing through the air, Liyue Harbor is the definition of what hard work, effort, and manpower in the great nation of Teyvat. Its buildings had their own unique work of design, unlike the industrious city of Fontaine, where that nation was focused solely on its bare achievement on just creation. Although Liyue Harbor appears like this in any map given to any traveler, the old locals and kids alike know that Liyue Harbor has a deep-rooted connection of its own rotten deals and transactions. In fact, most of the advanced technology in Liyue Harbor was achieved by certain people who use the power of their contracts with others to their own advantage. Humans have long been the rulers and overlooking the city, and most of them had already forgotten the old, traditional ways of their former god, Rex Lapis, and the adepti that had guided them thousands of centuries ago.

However, there are other people that resided in the city; those who still remember who Rex Lapis is and who the adepti that guided the natives of the Liyue region through the country of Teyvat. Most of them only grew to become small-time workers in the provinces in the city because of how much they hated those in the big business of Liyue Harbor. They despised that most of those entrepreneurs used the idea of humanity, ethics, and morals as a stepping ground for their own self gain.

In a small province at the edge of Liyue Harbor, near the northern wharf, stood a small, local coffee shop named 'Little Yizi'. Though it isn't a great, big spectacular sight such as the city-wide known and loved Wanmin Restaurant, it is still a delicate, dimly-lit coffee shop that one may find themselves easily winding down in. Citizens of all ages are welcome in Little Yizi; the elderly are seen talking to each other and gossiping about drama and celebrities and whatnot, while those on the younger side are most likely scrolling through social media on their phones or doing research on their laptops.

It was a particularly slow day in the café, especially with the ongoing rain from the night before. It was only 6:00 AM, however, so perhaps people were still in their bed or are just getting ready to start their own day. There were only a few staff members in the café, and they consisted of one boy and two women. The boy, presumably a teenager, was beginning to finish an order that an elderly couple had made just four minutes ago. His nametag read 'Fai', and he was a tall, scrawny fellow with messy jet-black hair and cold, black eyes. He seemed to be a newbie working in the café, due to his shaky hands pouring the milk into one of the cups. One of the women, her nametag reading 'Daiyu', had blonde highlights in her dark hair and a black swan tattoo that was barely seen on her neck. She was sitting in a wooden chair behind one of the cash registers and was slouching with her phone in her hand, her finger restlessly scrolling on the screen. She had a blank expression on her face.

The last employee, wearing a black cap to match the theme of the cafe and had her hair up in a low, messy bun, had a nametag reading 'Ningguang'. Appearing to already be a grown and mature woman, she was manning one of the cash registers by herself, and she watched as her employee was on her phone. Ningguang, a tall woman with gracious white hair, wearing red eyeshadow and thin red lipstick. Though she looked to be a busy figure, she wasn't talking to anyone, whether it be her fellow co-workers or any customers walking through the window door and greeting them. Instead, she began to wander in her own thoughts for a few minutes.

"Hey, you okay?"

Ningguang immediately snapped back to reality and saw that a customer was already standing in front of her. The customer, a woman who looked to be around the same age as her, had a large raincoat and was lowering her umbrella down to close it.

"I'm sorry about that, ma'am," Ningguang said, sighing deeply and looking down to her cash register.

"No worries. You kinda looked all lost in thought there, though. You okay?"
