"C...Captain Beidou?"

Time had significantly passed ever since the Teyvat-renowned Crux Fleet had returned from one of their most extensive voyages through the treacherous seas from beyond the sea of clouds. Though murmurs and whispers of the fleet remained through the mouths of the citizens of Liyue, they did not expect to see the warship, the Alcor, return so suddenly and abruptly. The Alcor was anchored at a different part of the city; its hull was peaking out from the northside of the cliff located adjacent to the city. Its flags were still noticeable from the distance if one were to stand in the southern wharf of Liyue Harbor. Some crewmembers of the fleet, including the captain of repute herself, Captain Beidou, had sailed back to the docks with a separate boat that would have been used for emergency escapes if ever the Alcor capsizes.

When they traveled back to the docks, words and rumors began to spread around both the southern and northern wharfs of Liyue Harbor. Dock workers that were assigned on the southern wharf had noticed the almost too-familiar woman along with her group of men and women that sat alongside her. As her presence neared the closest dock, there was chatter among children as they recognized her and the iconic crew.

They had anchored right next to a lowered dock platform, which had an already-ready boarding plank suited at the right height. With little to no hesitation, the crewmembers began to leave the ship and walk across the boarding plank in an almost single-file line. The last crewmember to leave, Captain Beidou, stood up from her seat and was pulled onto the dock thanks to one of the crewmembers' grasp on one of her hands. She patted the man's back as a sign of acknowledgement, nodding her head at him. The crew continued to look back at her, listening to what she had to say for them.

"Alright, you all are free of your duties up until we depart," the captain said, crossing her arms. "I'm extremely proud of all of you. We were able to trek through some of the most dangerous storms I have ever seen in all my years of sailing alongside all of you. Go reunite with your beloved ones. They sure have all missed you."

"Ayee!" they all said in unison, smiling fiercely at her with proud expressions in their faces. They had then began to exit the dock, pushing and squeezing through some of the dock workers that had congregated near the crew.

"Is it really you, Captain Beidou?" a middle-aged man hesitated as he slowly approached her. He stopped for a minute to observe her, and he noticed quickly that she had adopted and changed her appearance almost entirely.

"Heh, it's still me," she replied, chuckling with a smile. "It really has been such a while since I last stepped foot upon Liyue, huh?"

"I...indeed," the man stuttered. "And you've...changed, that's for sure."

"My haircut is pretty obvious," Beidou responded. She subtly straightened her posture but kept her head in an almost-low like position, with her eye appearing almost cat-like with the slight angle she positioned her head in. It was as if she was looking directly down at him, though she was not the type of person to ever do this. "I'm still me, though."

Beidou, during her long, almost two year journey, had cut her hair into a pixie cut, with a sharply designed nape undercut. Her long, flowing dark hair had now been reduced into this size, and seemed to take a liking towards her new appearance. One of Beidou's toned arms were now covered in a uniquely designed sleeve tattoo; her right arm was covered by the body of a black-and-white tattoo of what appeared to be Haishan. Its long, slender, yet muscular body seemed to coil around her arm like a snake. Its tail was at the bottom of her forearm, and as the body wrapped around her arm, its head eventually lead to the front of her right chest area, almost covering her collarbone. Haishan's head, impressively detailed with its scales, eyes, and teeth, seemed to be facing diagonally left from her. The design of this tattoo was certainly impressive; whoever had performed this work for her must have been an extremely trusted by the captain herself in order to have this permanently marked on her body. Each time she observes the tattoo, she is reminded of the immense, harsh, and indecipherable problems that she and the Crux Fleet had had to face during each voyage and each journey out into the sea.
