Sweat dripped from his head decorating the floor. Axel became a robot programmed to only do one thing. Reality fell back into his body as the blunt blade pressured his shoulder.
"I let you win." he said
"Every time?" sighed his mother a look of disappointment shadowed her soft hearted face. "What shall you do when your crowned and at war, how will you lead your men into battle and fight when I'm not here to protect you?"
"There hasn't been any threat for decades. Why do I even have to learn to fight anyway? There's no point!" His palms started sweating again.
"Go get cleaned up for dinner, you look a mess." She snapped
"I don't even want to be king." Axel said gritting his teeth pressuring them till they ached. However the stubborn queen had already vanished.
Axel wouldn't be attending dinner this evening. Why should he? He would just be tutted at by his grandparents. So instead he decided to lie in a field watching the sun gleefully dance over hills and masses of land until being snatched by the darkness taken hostage with no escape never knowing when it can dace again. But the fear of that darkness lingers over it forever.
"I waited for you. For hours yesterday" A soft yet harsh whisper of a girls voice lingered in the air until Axel made out the familiar silhouette of Tallie. She had dark blue eyes that seemed so deep like a bottomless pit you could easily fall into. Her Blonde hair with stripes of light brown waved in the silent wind. Now she was staring at him searching for some sort change but Axel wouldn't give it to her.
"sorry but I do also seem to be the heir of a country and have other things to do then play in a field with you" He looked into her eyes glistened with tears and he knew something was wrong. Tallie grabbed the hilt of her sword. Axel noticed her hands were violently shaking and put his over hers to stop them. They were cold as stone.
She dropped to the floor. Hyperventilating. Managing to gasp three words from her earth quaking body. before she dropped unconscious on his feet.
"They came back!"
