June 21st, 2016.

My middle school graduation.

As I adjusted my red dress, I looked in the mirror.

The 11 year old, small, depressed little girl who once stood here is now less than 3 months away from being a teenager.

She's going to high school.

We have caps and gowns this year, but those are for the photos, so we just wore dresses and suits.

As I grabbed my bag, Aidan knocked on my door.

"Can I come in now?", his voice said from the other side of the door.

"Come in, babe.", I chuckled at his impatience.

He walked inside, and his jaw dropped to the ground.

"You look hot.", he whispered, to which I laughed.

"Don't ever let my dad hear you say that.", I replied, as he kissed my cheek.

As I read the comments, I laughed and liked them all.

"Your friends are making fun of me!", Aidan playfully pouted, showing me his phone.

I laughed even harder.

"Come on, your mom just texted. She's waiting on us.", I told him, practically dragging him off my couch.

My parents and the rest of my family aren't here because I wanted to surprise them.

Besides my mom helping me with my hair and makeup, no one has seen anything.

"Hi Mrs. Gallagher.", I slid in the backseat.

"Hi honey! Did you text your parents that you're leaving now?", his mom asked.

"Just did that.", I replied.
