Everyone was sitting around the table and ate. Y/N was obviously sitting next to Camilo and was bored because they were already done eating. They were the only one who was done though so the only option they had was waiting.

After a while almost everyone was finished and Camilo could tell that Y/N was getting bored.
"Wanna go somewhere? I know the perfect place", he smirked.
Y/N nodded. Both of them stood up and went outside. It was really dark and cold already because of the time it was.

Camilo pointed to the balcony. "Wanna go up there? It's so pretty when you're just sitting on top"
"If you show me how to get up there, and if it isn't dangerous then sure".
Camilo went back inside and Y/N followed him. They went up some stairs and then he opened a door that went to the balcony. Y/N surprisingly had never been there before.

There they sat down and just hung out for a bit.
"Can we go back. It's really cold here", Y/N was wearing something short sleeved so they frooze.
"Wait", Camilo took off his ruana and gave it to them. "If that isn't enough we can always go back inside. Or I could get you a jacket or blanket"
Y/N put it on and laid down on the floor looking at the stars.

"What exactly are you doing there?", Camilo looked them really confused but laughed.
"I'm stargazing. Join me!"
Camilo just laid down next to them and looked at the sky not knowing anything about stars.

"Look, those stars are called Sirius", Y/N pointed into the air.
"That one is Capella" they looked over to Camilo who just looked into the sky.
"That one is Vega. And that one isn't a star. It's the planet Venus"

"Wait you can see a planet with you naked eye from earth?", he was very surprised.
"Yeah! Venus is the fist quote on quote star that appears on the night sky, but also the last one to leave again"
Y/N then carried on to explain some stars to Camilo.

After that they talked for a while and just enjoyed the other ones presents. They talked about a lot. For example what they are planning to do in the next year. Or they told each other story's from their childhood. Or some story's they made up. Or they simply just joked around.

After a few hours Camilo started to be extremely nervous. Suddenly he built up enough courage for the thing he wanted to do.
"You know... we know each other for extremely long and well now. And we are like extremely close and I would say we're best friends or even more" he stoped to take a huge breath in.
"Camilo where are you going with this" Y/N couldn't tell what Camilo is trying to do.
"I just uhm ... just wanted to ask you if you uhm like want to be my partner. Like dating you know? I mean you don't have to if you don't want. We can just stay friends or something. I just thought it was a good way to start the new year. It's probably stupid"

Y/N looked confused at him "Camilo... We've been unofficially dating for THREE MONTHS. How did you miss that. We cuddle so much, hold hands and tell each other how much we love the other one. I am literally wearing your ruana right this second"
Y/N really didn't know if he was joking or if he was being serious.

"Wait. You can date someone unofficially? I thought everything is just platonic"
"You're so stupid. And that why fell for your dumb ass", Y/N started laughing and hit him softly on his shoulder.

After that they went back to normal talking. Y/N didn't expect that to happen but they thought it's funny.

"Are we going to have a new years kiss", Y/N suddenly asked. They were really unsure a out that considering Camilo didnt even realize that they were dating. At least his family knew. Y/N will never forget that.

"Of course. If you want to obviously"
"I wouldn't be asking if I didn't dumb ass", Y/N laughed. They really loved their boyfriend. He cared about their safety, he had good humor and he cared so much about how they feel. And his stupidity he sometimes had was one of the funniest things about him.

In the middle of their conversation the church bells started ringing, announcing that the new year just arrived. When the teens heard that both of them stood up and went to the brim of the balcony. Camilo was grabbing Y/Ns hand and looked down to see the rest of his family.

"Camilo! Y/N! Join us down here", Pepa shouted to them.
They nodded and went downstairs to join Camilo's family partying.

When they were down the fireworks started going off and Dolores quickly held her ears shut. Y/N saw that and went up to her bringing her inside. Camilo followed them.

In Dolores room they sat her down on her bed and gave her earplugs to put in. It didn't make the loud noice disappear completely for her but it wasn't as loud as without, so it was a good thing that they got them.

"Are you alright Dolores?", Y/N asked her.
"Yeah but my ears hurt.... alot. Thank you for helping me so quickly.", Dolores smiled at them.
"Don't worry about it"

"And Camilo. Did you really ask out Y/N today, even tho you guys have been dating for a while? You really can't take signs don't you?", Dolores mocked him.
"I never asked them out officially, so it wasn't that stupid of me", he tried to defend himself.

After that Dolores told them that she will be ok and that they can head back outside, so they did.
Everyone was celebrating and wishing each other a happy New year. Then Camilo turned to Y/N and placed the promised New Years Kiss on their lips.

Happy New year! It's only 8:30pm in my timezone rn but idc lmao.

I hope the long wait was worth it. I might upload more today but not usre6. I'm at a party and it's so fucking boring at the moment.
