Part two of story ~4~

The teens hang out almost on a daily basis since 5 months already. Because they spent so much time with each other ever since the gift ceremony they went through so many good and bad times together.

When Camilos gift disappeared Y/N was there for him telling him how he's still the same awesome boy even without it. They really helped alot in that time. And while the house got rebuild he, his siblings and parents stayed at Y/Ns house. That meant they saw each other almost every free second for weeks. Y/Ns family also helped alot with building up the Madrigal house again.

Today they met in town to prank other people. With Camilos shapeshifting powers, everything was even funnier. For example Camilo keept shapeshifting into this one person who just got overly annoyed by it. It was the funniest shit for them.

"Camilo. I have a problem. But a real one. Like this isn't one of our stupid jokes. I'm being dead serious", Y/N suddenly spoke up. Camilo looked at them and shapeshifted back into himself.
"What's up?" we was worried that something really bad happened.

"My sibling. My whole family is focusing on them and them only, they barely pay attention to me. I feel so left out, like I'm third wheeling in my own family. And it just hurts so much. I go working for so long, so my family has enough money to survive and they just don't care that much", they looked at the floor.

"Hey, I will always pay attention to you and focus on you. Yes I'm not your family but at least it's something right? And you can always talk to them. I'm sure they're understanding", Camilo tried to cheer them up. But Y/N started laughing.
"That sounded like a confession. Think before you talk otherwise you'll get a partner who you didn't even want to date".
Camilo let out a nervous laugh, but Y/N didnt really pay attention to that. They really liked him, but they tried to deny it as good as possible. They didn't like commitment that much. And they were afraid that their feelings will get hurt.

About a week later Camilo had to watch over Y/Ns sibling again and Y/N didnt have to work so they both just watched over the young one. Well Y/N more or less. They were just sitting in the kitchen eating their food.

Camilo showed up in the room and sat down next to them telling the other one that their sibling was sleeping so he could have a small break.
Y/N offered him some food and he accepted it.

At first they sat there in silence just eating but Camilo broke that real quick.
"You know, you're really important to me. Like ever since we met I actually feel like I have people who I can trust outside of my family"
Y/N, who had their mouth full and almost chocked on their food, started laughing again.
"Why does it keep happening that you're almost confessing feelings. You're like a brother to me and this 'you're really important to me' shit is... akward", Y/N didnt think he actually liked them, that why they reacted that way. And they wanted to protect themselves from a heartbreak.

That backfired though. Camilo just stood up in silence and walked away. Y/N was really confused on what just happened and why he didn't say anything or joked with them. Normally he would just laugh along.

When Y/N went into the living room, where Camilo was most of the time when he looked after their sibling, but he wasn't there. He didn't just leave did he? No he couldnt, Y/Ns parents trusted him.

Camilo was in Y/Ns siblings room. They were sleeping while he was sitting at a table with paper and a pen in front of him thinking about what he could write.

"Y/N! Camilo! We are home now.", when Camilo heard that he stood up, and went to the door to say good bye.
"Y/Sn is in their room sleeping." he looked at Y/N "Bye... see you soon" then he left.

"How was the evening?", Y/Ns mother sat down next to them.
"Me and Camilo didnt really interact. He came to the kitchen while I was eating but left shortly after and didn't show up again the whole evening", Y/Ns father placed himself in the couch.

"And when are you guys gonna start  dating"
"PAPÁ! We're just friends. He's probably not even interested in me as a partner. And there's so many people our age in the town. Why would he want me?"

The three were sitting there and just talked for a while.
"I will go to bed now, I have to work a bit longer tomorrow", then Y/N went into their room.
There was a paper on their bed.
They looked at it and saw that there was text on it. So they sat down and started reading.

"I don't really know how to start this. the past few weeks I kept trying to hint it to you, but you either completely blocked it off or started laughing. I don't know why you do this but I have to get it out. (Not just because Dolores is annoying me with it ('-﹏-'；)  )

I like you. Not as a friend, but more than that. I fell really hard for you like a crush and shit. Ever since that night we danced, fuck even before I thought you were attractive, but the better I got to know you the more I fell for you. Your looks, your humor, your personality, Fuck everything about you is perfect.

I know you said it's akward and that you see me as a brother figure, but I had to tell you. I can't keep it a secret much longer.

I hope that didn't destroy our friendship or made anything weird. And hey, there is a slight chance that you also like me.
Im mostly just writing this so a) Dolores doesn't find out that fast and b) that you can friendzone me so I can move on. Like I don't think you actually like me back.

Y/N stared at the letter not knowing what to do. What did they just read? Was that real?

There won't be a part 3. I can tell you in the comments how it ends because I'm not a monster. But that won't happen till tomorrow. I wanna see you suffer /j
