(Y/n)'s POV"Sleeping? At this time?" She asked which made me roll my eyes. "I can sleep if I want to now can't I? I'm a single mom so I enjoy every minute of my free time." Mom narrows her eyes as she turns to look at the door of my bedroom. "What did you want to talk about anyway?" I snap at her which seems to catch her off guard. "Oh yeah. Soon is Jade's anniversary so we were thinking if you would like to come for a dinner with us? We are going to her favorite restaurant."
I felt my heart sink which made me feel horrible. "I... I don't know. Those dinners are the worst..." She seems to be little offended when I said that. "She would love for you to be there." I roll my eyes as I lift my hand over my temple and rub it for a while. "I know but I don't think that she really cares about that. I was thinking of taking Hope to her grave and write a letter for her there." I could see that anger comes on her face. "How dare you disrespect your sister like that?! I can't believe that you are that heartless!"
I point at the door for her. "Okay you can leave now thank you! I'm not heartless for thinking what someone who is dead is thinking. In the end of the day, she won't come back and tell me how disappointed and heartless I am since she doesn't care! Like I said before. I know you two can't move on but you have to learn how to live without letting her death effect you." I walk over to the door and open it for her. "It was nice for you to yell at me but you need to go. See you again!"
She huffs as she walks outside before she turns to look at me. "I think I lost the wrong daughter." I could hear the coldness in her voice which made my blood boil. "And with that you lost both of them. Don't ever come near me or Hope again or I will make sure that you will pay for that." I yell at her before I slam the door shut before she could say anything else to me. She is a complete idiot because of that! And now that she said that to me I would make sure that she could never get to Hope again.
I sigh but then I hear my bedroom door close. I felt embarrassed since Frank had to hear that. "Sorry that you had to hear that. It's just awful." Frank wraps his arms around me and gives me a tight hug. "It's okay. I have shitty parents too." I smile at his words but it doesn't help that much. "Yeah. Sometimes they are just awful. That is the only reason that in case something happens to me and I couldn't take care of Hope, Sarah would take her in. She's the only one I really trust since she really loves her like a daughter."
Frank presses his cheek against the back of my head before he hums. "I think that it is the best thing you could do to her. But thankfully you are not going anywhere in a while." I turn to look at him and give him a kiss. He melts into it almost as easily as I do so it felt so right. I break the kiss and rub my thumbs on his cheeks. "Thank you for being here with me. I think that I would have strangled her." He laughs before he lets go of me. "No worries. I love being here for you."
I turn to look at the kitchen where I could see Hope's drawings. "You want a cup of coffee? I could do that for you if you want to." He thinks for a moment before he nods. "Why not? I don't have anywhere to go." I smile as I start to make some coffee. Frank sits down by the table while I do my thing. "What about your ex? Has he peen a problem lately?" I shrug my shoulders as I wait for the coffee. "Yeah, he has been losing his mind since his friends seem to disappear. People think that he killed them but I don't know. Maybe the others just grew tired of him. Well expect one of them."
I think of Jackson's and his mother's death and can't help but to be sad about it. Frank seems to catch onto this since he looks at me with a little worried look on his face. "Is everything okay?" He asks while I just gulp down the lump from my throat. "Y-yeah it is just that I grew up with them. Even thought they are not the greatest people I still cared about them. Especially The latest one since he got his own issues and was easy to manipulate but he was still sweet as a pie. If Eric really did that then I want justice for him."
