We were all standing here staring at Ari waiting for her to speak.
"Hello ? You deaf now." I said to her
"Ay, Don't talk to yo momma like that" BoBo said and I looked at him with my face scrunched up.
"You mean my AUNT" "So you must've known too the way you defending her"
"I ain't know shit and i'm not defending nobody. Let's just calm down and talk about this with respect." He said and Ari got on her phone while walking outside.
Oh so she can't hear. What the fuck is going on ! So you mean to tell me that both my mom and aunt knew that I was in an toxic ass foster home and didn't even try to get me out ? Because they wanted to safe they ass.
"Who the fuck is this Ari ?" I heard BoBo ask. I must've been deep in my thoughts because Ari was already back and had brought somebody with her.
"This is my sister, D'shawna .. Aby's mom" She said making me lift my head up to see a women that looked just like me. this was too much. I've thought all my life I was just unlucky. With my "parents" dying and me going to foster care. I thought it was just bad juju. But now I know that those weren't my real parents. Because my mom was standing right in front of my face.
"Baby, I'm so sor-"
"I don't need your sorries, just explain" I said bluntly. I couldn't find it in my heart to care for this women yet, especially knowing all that I did now.
"Well it's a long story"
"I got kidnapped apparently because of you ! We have time. Talk" Dess said.
"Okay well.. I guess it started years ago when I was young. 15 to be exact. I was wild and hot in the ass. I wanted to be like my sisters and brothers, grown not being told to do shit, just having fun and doing whatever the fuck you wanted. Now that i'm grown I realize that they could only do those things because of there mom" She said "No disrespect, but my mom was strict. Anyway this made me hang out more at Ari's and my cousin Simone house. We was having fun doing what kids do. Eventually Simone started fucking this nigga named Travis. He was a drug dealer, deep in the street but she ain't care. They had a baby and that's when they broke up. As I got older me and Travis got close. I would hit a lick for him here and there, Rob houses with him, I even killed two people for him." She said shaking her head while looking up.
"Well when SPooK died he took over the streets. I guess it made him stressed or maybe it just showed his true colors because he became violent towards everyone, including me. He would walk around jumping people and doing too much, the power got to his head."
"Well when I got pregnant I knew what he would tell me to do. Travis felt like a kid would kill his business. He said he didn't care about anyone hurting me but if they killed his child it would make his lose all of his street credit. He payed for me to get an abortion. I only agreed because he said if I didn't he would beat it out of me." She said as tears started to form in her eyes. She blinked quickly trying to straighten herself up.
"Anyway, I went to the clinic and couldn't go inside. I told Ari and she told me to take the money and go to her brothers house in cali."
"Of course I listened not telling anyone where I was going. I stayed up there until I was close to my due date. Ari arranged for Abygail to stay with her dad and step mother. Once they passed Ari knew she had to do something quickly. She arranged for you to stay in a foster home using her inherited money to pay them to keep you there. We didn't want you to get adopted it was too risky for you and that poor family. The only reason she adopted you was because we thought it was safe." She said as I was taking everything in I could kind of understand their point of view, even though it still doesn't make it right. But they were young and thought they were doing the right thing.
"Okay, so what do we do now ? Apparently he's not going to stop" Dess said
"Why didn't you tell me ? I could've handled this" BoBo said
"Because Travis is an old head and we both know the rules to this shit" "Plus we got a plan, I already booked us a flight to Cali"
"So what ? y'all gon keep running until he get caught ?" I said while scuffing and it was like I spoke that shit up because on the news it said.
"40 year old Travis Morris has been arrested and charged with several charges such as kidnapping, multiple murders to the second and third degree, drug trafficking, sex trafficking and etc. Officers say He plead guilty to all of his charges and will be facing life in prison."
Well I guess that answered my question.
