It's been 4 LONG months since everything went down. Everybody's stressed ,emotional & about ready for this all to be over. I just want my little sister back.
Somebody kidnapped Dess and the only reason we know is because they asked for ransom. We've been in and out the police station going basically every morning to see if they have any clue where Dess is or just any updates.. but of course the answer was always the same. For the past few weeks they've been trying to "prepare us for a different route" basically they think Dess is dead due to us not giving the kidnappers any money. But i refuse to think that. Not because I'm in denial. But because i know she's not dead. I know it in my soul, call it mother or sister intuition. But I can't talk to anybody about it. Anytime I say Dess or even the letter "D" everyone freaks out.
And it's not like Kay has been helping at all. Her parents didn't want her to be seen with me in public due to all the drama that's been going on this past year and some change. But I didn't expect her to be sending my calls straight to voicemail.
And she's not only ignoring me but the rest of the crew as well, even Mar.
I looked over at the time and finally decided to get up knowing that I would now only have to scoop Mar up but also go to the station to see if there were any updates.
As I was walking to the bathroom I passed Dess's room. It still didn't feel right waking up and not hearing Dess cute little voice. I honestly can't even remember a time I wasn't waking up beside Dess.
I walked down to the kitchen once I got done with everything and was finally ready. I didn't hear Herbo and Ari so I texted them letting them know I was gone. Even though they nosey asses already got my location. this opp ass iphone.
"How was your morning Ms.Wright ?" Luke asked while opening the car door and I shrugged my shoulders getting inside. Waiting for him to get in the drivers seat I continued the conversation by saying "It was fine"
Ever since the whole situation with Dess went down my parents have been making Luke drive me and my friends around. It was convenient sometimes but also annoying, I feel like a child but I understand they just want me to be safe.
"So how school goin ?" Luke asked, like always.
"Good" I don't even know how to answer that question anymore. School was weird. Everyone always comes up to me in the hallway telling me to keep my head up and all the bullshit acting like they really care or know me and my sister when they don't.
