I swear to god, I have blacked out too many times.
When I woke up, I looked around and saw myself in a room with lots of paintings and drawings.
There was a couple of people but their backs were turned on me and they were wearing black cloaks.
My vision was slightly blurred so I wasn't sure who they were.
"She's awake!" someone said and the crowd circled around me.
I could see them clearly now.
They were hybrids.
Different ears, eyes and all.
One of them had bronze like hair and a lot of canine teeth.
One of them had feather patterns in their skin and bird like eyes.
A blonde haired girl pushed through the crowd.
"Nerii!" I exclaimed.
"Are you alright? I didn't really approve the way they took you to our base..." she frowned.
"W-Where am I?" I asked.
"The Hybad's base." Nerii answered as Ophiuchus's head popped up and he waved to me.
"But you're a demon..." I said.
"Ophiuchus spoke up for me when we escaped out of the castle. I am now a Hybad member like them." she said.
"You're willing to kill your brothers?" I asked.
"If I didn't have to, I wouldn't...but...much evil has been done." she said.
"Exactly! Look at those marks...Suco gave them to you..." Ophiuchus said and I tried to cover them.
"I-It's fine...I'm fine, really..." I said.
"No, you're not!" Nerii and Ophiuchus.
"Why am I here, anyway?" I asked, trying to change the subject.
"The leader thought you would know more about that Suco scum." Ophiuchus said.
"Leader?" I said.
"Only the close sub leaders have seen her." Nerii said.
"What does she want to know about Master?" I answered.
"Don't call him that! He doesn't deserve your respect, Blue!" Ophiuchus sighed.
"What are his abilities?" Nerii asked me.
"Aren't you her sister? Wouldn't you know?" I replied.
"Abilities are pretty personal, I wouldn't know." She answered.
"I only know about his blood sucking ability." I lied.
I wasn't sure why I lied.
"Oh well, with no new information, Bronze is going to be fuming again." Ophiuchus said.
"Bronze?" I asked.
"The lion hybrid, and the sub leader we were assigned to." Ophiuchus groaned.
I had a feeling they didn't like her.
"Well, just look around and explore I guess." He said and Nerii and him went away.
I stood and went out of the room.
I saw a few hybrids there talking and a few young ones running around. Slowly around the end of the floor, there was no one.
I stepped on more step and heard a weird breaking sound.
I bent down and realised it was a loose floorboard.
I lifted it and gasped and the hidden room.
I walked down and it was all dark.
I grabbed a stick on the floor.
Just in case.
I saw a lamp at one part of the dark room and slowly went to it.
I knew it was a dumb thing to do.
I went closer and saw someone I knew.
" Idris!" I yelped.
He was tied up in thick strings and full of lashes.
"B-Blue?" He said weakly.
"I thought you were dead!"I said.
"Dad is, not me." he said as he struggled to free himself.
"I-I can't let you go..." I said.
"Why Blue? Aren't we friends?" he said.
"We'll never be friends." I said.
"I talked to you!" he growled.
"You drank from me...You treat me nothing like an equal!" I growled.
"You aren't an equal..." he said.
I gave a growl of annoyance.
"Just because we look cute, pretty or weak does NOT mean we are inferior!" I said angrily.
He stayed silent.
"Where's Accalia?" I asked.
"Probably dead." he answered while a tear went down my cheek.
I barely knew that hybrid and she's already dead.
"You monster." I said, trembling with fear.
"I drank her blood...Nearly 90% of it...She couldn't have survived..." he said.
I turned away.
"Blue! Blue, don't leave me here! I-I'll treat you as an equal, once the demons come back to power, you'll live like a princess! Please, Blue don't leave me here!" He screamed.
I never turned back to him again.
Monsters.
All of them.
All of a sudden, a creature with gold eyes appeared in front of me.
"You did well...Guess I could trust you after all..." she said.
I leaned closer and realised she was a lion hybrid.
"Are you Bronze?" I asked.
"Yep. Pleased to meet you, Blue." Bronze said reaching out to shake my hand.
"I'll tell you everything I know about demons." I said.
"I see the rage and hatred you have for them." Bronze said.
"They have multiple personalities, the personalities change due to the change of time or after drinking. The more powerful a demon is, the more abilities they have." I said.
"That's good enough for us to kill Suco." she said.
"K-Kill?" I stammered.
"With his followers, of course." Bronze said, grinning.
"But you can't kill all of them! That's...That's no difference from a demon!" I said desperately.
Sanguis...even Suco!
Even Suco has treated me well.
...Never as an equal.
"That Crown Prince of a mosquito you left right there is going to be executed tonight." Bronze said.
"C-Couldn't we keep him alive...for interrogation...or something!" I stammered.
"Listen, I was once like you. Weak hearted and forgiving." Bronze said, beckoning me to sit down.
"I was once a pet too. Scared and pitiful. I was tossed around from owner to owner. No one wanted a pet like me. I was unique and exotic but hard to take care of. Till I met this demon, he was called Draco, I loved him a lot. He used up all he had to take care of me. Treated me as an equal...even in public." Bronze continued.
"I thought maybe...just maybe....demons were kind and all the tales we heard in the pet shop were false. That was until one day he had these friends who wanted to taste my blood. Only one of them had fangs so he drank my blood first and let me bleed as they collected my blood...drop by drop. Draco came home that night and saw them with me. He was in rage and tried to kill them....he didn't survive it...died right in front of my eyes. I ran out through a window and met with Hybad's Leader. They taught me how to survive. We ran into a troop and I saw someone looking similar to Draco. When we fought we killed nearly all of them and captured some hostage, you know, just to negotiate for goods. One of them was the one who looked like Draco, who I later found out that he was Draecin, his younger brother. I saw Draecin occasionally when I was with Draco and he was nice too. I asked him why did he join the army and he said he was looking for the Hybad for a long time. To help us, he said. I let him go and he killed all my friends, you could say sisters in battle. From that incident on, I knew to never trust a demon." Bronze finished.
"I'm sorry to know you had to experience all that." I said.
"It doesn't matter now...let bygones be bygones." she said.
"The big question is...are you willing to kill Suco...or are you going to defend him?"
