1-A's hero class with All Might that day had just ended, and after being sent back to their respective gender's locker rooms to shower and change out of their hero costumes.

During the whole class, Izuku had intentionally tried to distance himself from his friends and classmates to avoid the awkwardness and tension that may have been induced by his actions in their recent hero vs villain exercise. And like he had anticipated, he indeed felt tension in the air appear the moment he joined the rest of the class. Every now and then, he would even feel the gaze of one or two of his classmates linger on him during class before looking away shortly after.

But even though he had expected Tenya, Ochaco, and Shouto to distance themselves away from him equally as well, they had actually done the opposite.

Even with his intention and attempts to keep his distance, they always made sure they surrounded him.

He didn't know why they would even want to be around him after what he did... but he was thankful. He was grateful inside that they were still around.

Izuku pulled open his locker and after securely placing his hero outfit in its case, he began changing back into his school uniform, finishing with tying his red neck tie-- poorly. It had been a long ongoing curse in the Midoriya family that none of them (the men, at least) actually knew how to tie a tie, but that's probably best left a secret.

After Izuku finished tidying up his locker, he grabbed his phone from the top shelf inside and went to slip it into his pants' pocket, but before he could, he noticed the light on it was blinking, notifying him of a message.

Izuku wondered who it could have been from, and he opened just to check, but once he saw who it was, he couldn't stop himself from tearing up when he saw that it was a voice message from his brother. Immediately, he ran out of the locker room so he could listen to his brother's message clearly and in private, no doubt capturing the attention and concern of his classmates, but he didn't mind them. He just wanted to hear what Tenko wanted to tell him.

Izuku wiped his tears off the moment he got out of the locker room, then he played his brother's message.

"Izuku, I'm sorry that I suddenly hung up on you the other day, I really didn't mean to make you worry. We're all set to visit Mom soon, right? I'll have my whole schedule for the whole weekend cleared so let's spend the whole time catching up, okay? I'll see you soon."

Izuku felt a wash of relief and joy as he began wiping his tears again, and excitedly, he began typing out his reply to his older brother.

"I'm going to have Eri give you an earful for trying to ignore me, you got it?! And I won't let you off that easily! Prepare yourself, Tenko! 😆"

A huge bright smile found itself on Izuku's face as he hit send. He wiped his tears away for one last time as he slipped his phone into his pants' pocket. He turned around to return to the boys' locker room when he stopped when he saw a certain brownette and owner of a Frog Quirk approaching him.

"Izu-kun?" Ochaco looked at him with some concern, "What's wrong?
Why were you crying?"

Exactly as Ochaco asked this, both Tenya and Shouto came out of the locker room to check on their green-haired friend.

"Izuku, you suddenly ran out. What happened?" Shouto asked in a flat but concerned voice, while his expression remained unanimated.

"Izuku, tell us what's wrong. And don't lie." Tenya told the greenet with a stern voice as he put out a stiff handchop.

Izuku was speechless for a moment as he stared at his friends, making Ochaco, Tenya, Shouto, and even Tsuyu nervous and concerned for a moment, before they saw Izuku seemingly snap out of the confusion he was in at moment ago, and look down slightly as he bore a sheepish warm smile.

This is nice. Izuku thought in his mind with a timid smile.

Izuku slightly shook his head, then he looked back up at his friends with a timid warm smile, and he answered, "I just got a message from Tenko, that's all."

He then paused for a bit, before saying in a soft, almost a whisper, "And thank you, for still staying friends with me."

Then as if he was hit with a sudden realization, he looked back up at his friends, and asked them with slight fear in his voice, "W-we are still friends, right?"

Tenya, Ochaco, and Shouto were all taken aback by their green-haired friend's question, but without any hesitations, they assured him.

"Of course!"

"Of course, we still are!"

"That won't ever change, Izu-kun!"

A wash of relief flowed through Izuku's mind as his friends quelled his doubts, and he thanked them once again as he sheepishly smiled, "Thank you again, everyone."

Everyone in their group (minus Shouto) wore a slight smile as Izuku thanked them, but the happy and calm atmosphere was immediately broken up when Tenya suddenly flipped to uptight student mode, and with firm chops on the air, implored his friends to get a move on.

"While this is a very nice moment for all of us, it is time we begin heading to our next class! It may already be past the middle of the school year, but we must remain vigilant! Now, let's move! Move! Move!"

Ochaco and Izuku just slightly chuckled at Tenya's antics, while Shouto kept his poker face.

NOTES: I AM NOT DEAD! AND THIS STORY IS STILL ALIVE!

I know I kinda disappeared on you guys for about... a month? And I know this is kinda a short chapter, but I just wanted to put out a wee little update for both this story and about future updates.

If you guys didn't know, I'm Filipino, and I used to live in the Philippines, but I recently moved to Canada for college. It's why I haven't been able to put out an update since December 30. I and my family were busy preparing all the stuff I needed to fly out. Plane tickets, all the paperworks, etc. so I wasn't able to work on Sins that much. And then after that, the day after I arrived, I immediately got straight to attending classes (online classes for those worried about me not isolating), and since then, most of my weeks had been busy with doing assignments if I'm not at class.

I'm still planning on continuing Sins, I'm still planning on writing Tenko's villain arc in between weekdays and assignments, but please do be patient since I am very busy now. I won't make any promises, and I do hope you guys understand that.

Until then, I'll see you guys in the next update, when we finally begin the action for this arc. ;9

(How lucky is it that one of the longer arcs ends up coinciding with me going to classes and being too busy to write? /s)
