I sat down in my astronomy class. the first day of school definitely hasn't been the best so far.
i lay my head on my desk and close my eyes, hoping I could block everyone out.
"is this seat taken?" i heard from a sweet, innocent voice. it sounded super mumbled since i was zoned out.
i then felt a few soft taps on my shoulder. i lift my head up and rub my eyes from the tiredness i felt.
"hi um, is someone sitting here?" the kind girl asked while pointing to the chair beside me.
"oh, nope. you can uh, you can sit." i smiled nervously. i've never seen someone so beautiful in my life. not even just her looks, there was just something about her that struck my attention.
as she sat down she pulled out her notebooks out of her backpack and settled in.
"so what's your name?" she asked me with a big smile on her face.
i smiled back, "i'm y/n! and you?" i asked.
"i'm moon. it's so nice to meet you!" she said.
"pleasures all mine." i smirked and looked back down at my paper.
she blushed heavily and looked away nervously.
"you have a cool name by the way. it's very unique." i pointed out.
the smile on moon's face lit up the entire room.
"thank you, your name is cool too!" she expressed and held eye contact.
"so are you actually into astronomy or is this just for an extra curricular?" i asked curiously. i was looking forward to getting to know her well since we'd be sitting together in this class from now on.
"i actually love astronomy. i'm really into everything that involves the universe. it's super fascinating to me. how about you?" she expressed happily.
the glimmer in her eye showed how much she was interested in the topic. it was adorable.
"its pretty interesting. i want to learn more about it which is why i'm in this class." i explained.
"maybe sometime we can spend some time together talking about it then." she insisted and let out another smile. her smile never really went away. she always had one on her face, but i'm not complaining.
