Peter was sitting crosslegged and barefoot in his room, staring at the few items he had pulled out a secret pocket of his father's briefcase. There was a picture of Richard Parker next to a colleague. Neither May nor Ben had recognized him. A few stationery items, his father's glasses that now sat on Peter's nose, perfectly fitting, an Oscorp id, as well as a mysterious folder that had been hidden in an extra layer. 00 decay rate algorithm, was reading on the first page, and Peter wasn't sure what to do with it.
There was a knock on the door and Peter snapped back out of his thoughts. "Yeah, one sec, one sec!" he called to whoever was at the door, rising to his feet to deactivate the electronic locking system he had engineered for his room. It was primarily to keep May from cleaning his room while he was at school. He hated when she did that.

He did his best to look as insuspicious as possible as he awaited the visitor sitting in his office chair and looking at the display of his PC. "Your friend is here." Ben peaked his head into the room. Then Liam stepped in, grinning as usual. Peter had completely forgotten about him. Been closed the door behind the teen, leaving the two alone to study. "Oh, hey.", Peter greeted regardless. " Hello.", Liam chirped. He was wearing a long, black coat that looked like it was worth a year of rent, and was wet as tge rest of his clothes. It seemed like it was raining outside-another thing Peter didn't notice.

Liam, on the other hand, seemed to have seen something drastic as he stared down at Peter with an unreadable expression in his eyes. "Don't you want to take that off?" Peter asked, pointing at the thick coat with the pen he had been biting on while thinking. Liam just kept staring for a moment longer, making the other boy tilt his head in confusion. Then he noticed what he had been doing. "Sorry, I gay panicked  for a sec. Those glasses look really good on you, Skater boy.", he rambled, barely audible, and Peter frowned. Whatever that was supposed to mean.

The smell of fresh rain on cashmere mixed with that smoky perfume scent that was Liam flowed through the air as Liam dramatically stripped off his coat and threw it aside. "So, where do you want to get started?" he then asked enthusiastically. Peter looked around, searching his school books. "Hmm..to be honest, I'm not really prepared.", he admitted, scrunching his nose while thinking what he could do about that. As he looked up at Liam, the boy had that look in his eyes again. Painfully slow, he dropped to his knees, now leveling with Peter. " Tell me anything.", he said, and Peter now noticed that his room was way smaller than he had ever seen it too because Liam was much closer than ever before." Ehm, so. ..what do you know about the curriculum?" Peter asked, his voice cracking.

Suddenly it was just so warm in here. "I should be honest with you...I don't need tutoring; I've always been an honor student.", Liam drawled, his gaze scurrying over Peter's face slowly, waiting for a reaction to show. Peter stared at him, puzzled in return. "why didn't you say anything?" "Because you're so god damn cute." Liam shrugged with an apologetic grin. His gaze then flickered down to the folder that still lay forgotten in front of Peter, who was not sure what he should respond to that. "What's that?" Liam asked, his interest piqued. "Why do you have Oscorp research materials?"

His slender fingers reached out but stopped hovering over the brown cardboard, his eyes looking at Peter for permission. "It's my father's.", the other boy said, gesturing with his hand that it was okay to take it. Liam took the folder, opening it carefully. His gaze took in words at an impressive speed. " Interesting. Very interesting.", he mumbled. "I think my father had a big breakthrough right before he died.", Peter explained. He couldn't tell why he shared this with a boy he had only known for a day. But somehow, he felt like he could trust him.
" Cross-genetics..", Liam said, looking over the rim of the paper at the other boy. "This is of extremely high value. Oscorp never managed to succeed with their experiments. That what you have here...it's most likely working." To emphasize the seriousness of the matter, he tabbed with his index finger on the algorithm. "How do you know that much about Oscorp?" Peter asked suspiciously. "I spent a ton of money on them.", Liam smirked. Peter's eyes grew wide:" You did what?" "The one currently holding 60% of the Oscorp cooperation is sitting right in front of you.", the other boy proudly announced, outstretching his arms for more effect. Now Peter's mind ultimately refused to work. " What?"

"Well, long story short. I'm about to inherit a shit ton of money and like to spend my allowance on something useful.", Liam elaborated, now again focused on the folder, practically sucking in all the information. "But to be technically correct: I'm the biggest shareholder in a few months. Now it's only about 10 percent. But who cares?"

Peter blinked. That was nuts. Liam noticed how there wasn't any reply, so his eyes searched Peter's again. "Are you okay?" "Yeah, yeah. I'm fine...that's just information overload right now", Peter said, scraching his cheek with the pencil absently. " But why are you telling me all this?" " 'Cause I would like to work with you on this.", Liam responded excitedly, closing the folder and holding it out for Peter to take. The other boy leaned closer, taking it. Their fingers briefly touched, and Peter's gaze shot up, colliding with Liam's. "What do you think we should do next?" Peter asked quietly. There was something on Liam's mind as he leaned in, closing the gap and pressing his lips to Peter's, taking the other boy by surprise.

That was not what he had expected. Peter had never been kissed unless that quick peck back in the third grade counted. Compared to what he was experiencing right now, it didn't. This was different. Warm, soft, a bit turbulent. His stomach bubbled in excitement, but before he could decide if he liked that feeling, Liam pulled back.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that. I'm just very excited right now.", the blond boy rambled, jumping to his feet. Peter was utterly shocked. Out of big, glossy brown eyes, he watched the boy put on his coat; then, he finally managed to say something. " It's ok." Liam stopped hot in his tracks. "It's just that it's a bit fast, isn't it?" Peter chuckled awkwardly, running a hand through his brown hair, disheveling it unknowingly. " I'm very sorry about that. I tend to forget that tact is a thing...I'm rudely impulsive. But I didn't mean to overstep any boundary...It was a terrible choice at handling that feeling you give me. And obviously,I'm very bad with words too" Liam apologized again, and he really looked like he meant it.

Peter didn't feel like he had any reason to, though. Sure, the kiss had been unexpected and way too soon, but he had liked it. He had enjoyed it very much. This strange boy just gave him a kaleidoscope of butterflies, and looking at him, it seemed like Peter had to learn to deal with them. "We can still work together, right?" he asked, all of a sudden feeling extremely insecure. In his defense, this was entirely new for him.
