Precisely at 6 a. m. , Peter Parker's alarm clock tore him out of sleep. With a groan, he hammered onto the snooze button. He needed a moment to come to life again. Then he swung his legs out of bed. Luckily, he was still wearing yesterday's clothes and just had to worry about changing into a fresh shirt. But first, he sleepily made his way into the bathroom to get rid of his morning breath. He wasn't a morning person; he'd never been, so his eyes were open to a bare minimum while his mind hadn't woken up properly yet. Automatically, he reached for the toothpaste and brush. Somehow he managed to press too hard, and the paste squirted onto his mirror. Not that that never happened before.

Not thinking much about it, Peter ran his toothbrush through it. He didn't care to while the rest away. He grabbed the knob for the water tab. Instead of just turning the water on, he broke the thing. Water sprayed up and into his face, fully waking him with a bang. How the hell did they do that? Quickly, he reached for some towels to clean the mess, but they kept sticking to his hands. After a bit of wiggling, he finally managed to stop the water with them. But as he put his hand on the doorknob, it also broke. Stunned, he stared at it for a second. What was happening? This was crazy! To get out of the room, he gently, with the greatest care, took the other door's handle between two fingers and twisted it. Luckily, he didn't get stuck this time.

The sensations were overwhelming as he was sitting on his bed, hair still messy, his toothbrush in one hand, the doorknob in the other. Why did this keep happening to him? He couldn't move; the risk of ending up with another item glued to his skin was just too high. He needed help. urgently. "Hey...Jarvis?" he spoke up, hoping the watch would react to his voice. It did. The blue light blinked, and the AI's voice asked:" What can I do for you, Mr.Parker?" Peter blinked. At least something worked. "Can you tell Liam to come over? It's an emergency." "I'm afraid there is no 'Liam' in my contacts.", Jarvis answered apologetically. "Mr.Stark.Tell Mr.Stark." Peter corrected himself. The Ai wasn't even addressing him by his first name. Why should he do so with Liam? "Mr.Stark is notified.", the Ai chirped. " He's coming over immediately."

Thank God. Now he just had to wait.
Sirens were blaring in the distance; a dog was barking. Everything was just so loud. Another fly made its way around his room, and he could smell the perfume May had put on before leaving for work. Everything was too much. Peter grunted in distress, his gaze shooting around his room, taking in each and every movement. A spider in his skateboards. He could actually hear her steps. The rattling of his blinds in the wind startled him, and he jumped around with a gasp. This was insane. As he put his feet to the ground to stand up, he stepped right into a paper note he had taken weeks ago. It stuck to his bare foot and wouldn't let itself shake off.

With another grunt of irritation, Peter chose to stay where he was. Hopefully, Liam will arrive soon.
And as if his prayers had been answered, his door opened, revealing the boy, who was panting. "What happened?" he asked, green eyes filled with worry. Under the right one shone a purple bruise through. Peter raised his hands, showing off what he had collected this morning. "I'm sticky.", he breathed out in his husky morning voice that cracked even more than usual. That much he was amazed by the whole situation. "Okay...relax.We can do this.", Liam said but did not sound utterly convinced. But he made his way over regardless.

Carefully, he reached for the doorknob, making sure not to touch any of Peter's skin. "Just let it go.", he whispered, biting his lip in concentration. As soon as Peter's grip would weaken, he was going to pull the little objects out. "Breathe. Everything's fine. We'll get behind whatever is happening to you, ok? Just breathe."  Peter looked at him strangely, then chose to give it a try. He closed his eyes and inhaled deeply. Once, twice. The third time did the trick, and Liam was able to snatch the items away quickly." Look, it's not that hard. "Liam smiled at Peter." I'll bring that back to your bathroom, and then we're going to figure out what the hell happened to you." Peter nodded in agreement. He was incredibly glad that Liam was here and he didn't had to face those macabre changes alone.

Patently, he waited in his now less awkward position on his bed for Liam to return, his eyes fixating the bathroom door. He could hear the clinging of metal as Liam screwed the knobs back om to their place. The swooshing sound of the shower curtain and the lid of his laundry basket. Then there was silence. A moment passed by, then Liam returned to the doorframe. He was holding a hand up and from to fingers dangled a dead spider on its web string.  "I think I know what bit you.", he exclaimed. Peter jumped to his feet, hurrying over. Of course, it was one of Oscorp 's spiders from the ØØ unit. He must have scratched it off last night.

Fascinated, he took it from Liam, his eyes focusing on the creature like a macro objective. It was beautiful. But it was also not just a normal spider. It was genetically engineered to produce more, better web. "Do you think its poison did this to me?" he asked Liam. The other boy shrugged. "Possibly. But poison alone isn't doing something like that to a body. It's more like... genetics. Somehow, you got the spider's abilities.", he told Peter what he had been thinking. "I would like to run some tests. Only if you want, of course. But this is that kind of crazy that would be fun to investigate." "Can you do that? Run some tests just like that?" Peter asked in awe. "Well, my lab isn't exactly Oscorp level advanced... but it should be enough to sequence your DNA for any changes. We need a cross-check, though, something that's from before yesterday. A hair, some skin, blood. Whatever you can provide." Liam was glowing. This seemed exactly what he enjoyed doing in his free time, and Peter trusted him. He wanted to find out what had changed in him.

" Ok. We can take my brush. "Peter gladly joined the other boy's excitement." Wonderful. You get that. I get a ride back to Manhattan." Peter nodded. But before he did anything else, he decided to bottle up that spider. Maybe it could be useful to take it too. Meanwhile, Liam was typing on his phone. "You know Peter, you get more existing with each day I know you.", he grinned, without looking up. Peter grew red at that. He could say that about Liam too. He packed a few things, taking his time so he wouldn't panic stick to any things, then he let Liam lead him through the house.

" Keep your hands to the skateboard. ", the boy advised him as they climbed down the stairs. "I don't think the driver would appreciate you ripping apart his car."  Peter had to agree. Outside, a sleek black car was already waiting. A woman in a suit was waiting in front of it. "Good morning, Mr.Stark.", she chirped. "Morning, Sunny. Please take us home." Peter eyed the women. The name was fitting. She was glowing as the sun hit her golden blonde locks. "Of course.", the women nodded, already darting for the driver's seat. "She's the official driver I hardly ever use.", Liam quickly explained as he opened the back door for Peter to climb in. "Doesn't she find it strange that you take me back to your place?" Petet asked in a whisper as Liam took a seat next to him.

"Naw, she's used to me bringing boys." Liam waved it off.  Peter just had to huff at how natural that came off his tongue. "But you're the first one I'll draw blood from.", Liam drawled in his ear with a smirk. He peaked his cheek, taking the risk of stinking to it. But it seemed like the strange stickiness didn't apply to that area. Thank god. Peter really much liked being kissed by Liam, and it would be a shame if he had to do without. It looked like Liam agreed, as he was going for another peak, this time at the corner of Peter's mouth. In this strange mess of a day, the blonde somehow made Peter feel safe. They would find out what was happening to him. They just had to.
