Chapter 15: Im sorry

            I walked into the warehouse and began to hear Erica's yelling. I followed the yelling and found them. Derek had bloody scratches on his face and Erica's eyes were yellow with her claws were out. Erica must've heard me walk in because she stopped yelling and looked at me. I smiled when she looked at me and she rolled her eyes.

"And here comes the prissy little bitch to save the day." Erica walked around me, trying to taunt me, but I kept my eye contact on Derek. "Athena, leave before you and I have big problems." She stopped in front of me, trying to make me look at her but I didn't.

'We already have big problems, Erica, what's another gonna do?' I ask as I look at her then take a step forward, putting her and I not even inches apart. 'I have been wanting to do this ever since we met.' I quickly put my hands on the sides of her face. I did a quick movement and snapped her neck as she fell to the floor.

"I thought you were about to kiss her, I'm not even going to lie." Derek wiped the blood off of his face and then looked at Isaac and I. "Have you decided yet?" He asked impatiently.

'Ask me at the party tonight, assuming you'll be there.' I said as I waved goodbye and walked back out to my car. Isaac followed but only half way.

"Sorry for making you drive all this way Athena, I honestly don't feel right for school today, you deserve some peace and quiet time." Isaac turned around and walked back into the house.

Everyone was bailing today and I found it odd, first Theo, then Isaac after he specifically asked me to pick him up, who's next? Derek? I shook it off as always and got into my car, I started the car and didn't drive off for a second so I could text Theo. I doubted his truck was "broken down" but me alone in a car with my thoughts isn't always ideal. Theo responded pretty quickly and sent me the address to get him. I drove off and drove to the location, once I arrived he got in the passenger seat.

"Thanks for the ride." He smiled at me as he closed the car door.

'Of course, you should feel special because I was planning on skipping today.' I was planning on it, just to stay away from that school filled with the problematic people who will make my day horrible.

"You still should, I'll come with you to wherever you wanna go." He looked at me and sat back in his seat, getting comfortable as I laughed.

'I was planning on going out of town and going to a old coffee shop I used to work at, are you sure you want to come with?' I asked him, tilting my head, waiting for his response.

"You seem to make a lot of things more fun, so sure. Besides, it's that or a 90 minute lecture by the teacher with the black hair and glasses, whatever his name is.

I laughed as I began to drive again. 'I wanna say you're talking about Mr. Harris but there's a lot of teachers with black hair and glasses.'

"I think you're right, the annoying chemistry teacher who always has it out for Scott and Stiles?"

'That's the one.' We both laughed and I began to drive. I side-looked at Theo and he was laying back, looking like he was relaxing himself. I didn't want to interrupt his "calmness", so I turned on bluetooth and put my playlists on shuffle. Apparently no good songs were playing because Theo took my phone and decided he could take control over the music.

He eventually turned on a song and then sat back as he was doing before. The song was fitting for the atmosphere. It was a rainy, gloomy day, but it wasn't the rain that makes you not want to go outside, it was the kind that makes you want to go outside and dance in the rain, I never knew how to explain it.

I felt like I was always in a movie with him, especially right now, Driving on a rainy day to a coffee shop, skipping school to hang out with each other, the boy problems in my life, maybe I am living in a movie.

"Athena, we're gonna be in a car for the next little while, so I guess this is the time I actually apologize for everything. The problems with Scott, what I did to Isaac, me leaving unannounced yesterday, i'm sorry for it all." He looked at me as he put his hand on mine. "And I know i'm not one to apologize, but I don't want you to see me as the monster everyone else does." I smiled and looked at him for a second, then my eyes led back to the road.

'I don't see you as a monster, Theo, and I'm not the one you need to apologize to for the Isaac and Scott incidents.' I took a deep breath and I saw him nodding in the corner of my eye.

"I already apologized to both of them, Scott accepted it and Isaac said he'd accept it if I stayed away from you, that's why i've been "ditching" you." Theo said, going back on my phone to change the song.

'And you clearly aren't listening to that rule now that he's away.' I laughed and looked at Theo's hand still on mine. I was thinking about why Isaac would say that to him, was he going to be just like Derek? Possessive of me when we aren't even together?

"Definitely not, who would pass up on an opportunity to spend a day with you? Because I know Isaac wouldn't." Theo looked at me as he turned on the new song, Scary Love by The Neighbourhood.

I saw him continuously looking at me as the song played. He was the one person I didn't want to fall for, but I felt like he was the person that everyone was suspecting me to fall for. The song is about God knows what, I had no clue, so I was assuming he wasn't trying to send me a hidden message.

At least I didn't think that until a specific lyric was sung. "Drivin' through the city with me, Just watchin' you glow. I'm in the passenger seat, you're in control". If those lyrics don't explain what was going on right now in one song lyric I don't know what does.

'You say that like i'm a celebrity that has little boy fans or something.' He thinned out his lips, trying not to laugh.

"You have two boys who seem like they will do anything for you, maybe three if I fall into your trap." He looked at me with a dangerous look on his face.

'I wouldn't call it a trap, I would call it other people falling in love to quickly.' I sighed and looked at Theo once again.

"Now i'm intrigued, I want to know more about your relationships, tell me more." He put his seat back up and he sat himself up.

'Well we are going to be in here for another hour, so what do you want to know?' I asked as I turned the radio down.

"You and Derek." He didn't hesitate for a second once I asked. I wanted him to ask about anything else but I guess it wouldn't be too bad telling him about Derek and I. "I just want to know how you two started and how it ended the way it did."

'We met one night when he tried to bite me and turn me into a werewolf, I was a were-coyote with control over turning, so he wasn't able to turn me, he then transformed into a human and was all shocked, he then watched me for weeks on weeks until I noticed, then somehow I fell for him after a million apologies.' Theo looked at me like I was crazy, he looked speechless. 'Then we ended because I left town to get away for a while in the summer and he replaced me with a girl whose roar sounds like mucus in the throat, end of story.'

"And you're still talking to him? I know I shouldn't be one to judge and all but you fell in love with your stalker." His eyes widened and he looked shocked.

'I was a sad and vulnerable 15 year old who just wanted attention.' I looked at him, giving him a reassuring look so he would calm down. 'I think it's safe to say that i've changed though.'

"Well if you're sad, vulnerable, and want attention, you sure don't act like it so yeah, I think you have changed." The shocked look on his face faded away.

'For the better I hope.' I focused my eyes back on him and he raised his eyebrows as if it wasn't true.

The next few minutes for him and I were silent. There was no music on the radio, no talking, the only noise was the rain against the windshield. I was about to speak up and say something, but before I could, Theo spoke up and said something that me freeze in my seat.
