"Do you hear that?" Sasha asks.
"Yeah, what is that?" I ask.
As we come closer, we realize exactly what's going on. You would think we would be used to this by now but how can you get used to something like this? At least once a week while walking home from school we either see crowds cheering or crying as another person loses their life to execution. In my country execution is the only form of punishment no matter the crime, no matter how big or how small, execution is the only means of punishment. Our government believes it keeps our country pure from evildoers, therefore making the country safer. I've been told over and over that it is the right way and that's the only way, but deep down it just doesn't feel right to me.
