Ally and I knocked on the door and Mary happily opened the barrier between us. "Hey there. Back so soon?"
"Just let me by, Mary." I groaned not ready to hear her stupid voice this early in the morning.
"What's the magic word?" She said in a sing-song voice.
"Move?"
"Please." Ally coldly said which made Mary open the door wider so we could get in.

I began to walk through when Mary yelled for me to stop. "Your father is in there with the nurse getting a check up on Michael so we can't go in until they're done." She lead us into the kitchen and went straight to the fridge to pull out a few sodas. "You can sit in here until they're done."

I gripped two sodas from her grasp and gave one to Ally before sitting at the table and pulling my phone out to see Camila texted me multiple times.

Camz: baby

Camz: where r u?

Camz: stop ignoring me. where did you go? I woke up and you were gone

Camz: omg tell me you didn't go back to that house.

Camz: I s2g babe. ally is gone and so are you. this isn't funny. if you don't text me back soon I'm gonna be pissed

Y/N: chill babe. I'm fine. mama sunshine has my back

Camz: I don't care what she has. I told you not to go without us. or without me. I don't trust those people.

Y/N: I don't trust them either but at least they'll behave a lil more w ally here. relax. ily and I'll see you in a bit

Camz: relax? easy for you to say. you aren't the one worried bc you don't get worried ugh ily2 just be careful

Mary sat in front of me and Ally quickly took the seat next to me. Like a Mother bear protecting her cub. How ironic by the way. I have two Mom's at one table, but I only claim one to be my Mom. Can you guess which one?

"So, have you finished school?" Mary, aka not Mom, asked me after taking a sip of her drink.
I nodded, "Yep." Why is she making small talk? Doesn't she know I hate her guts?
"Did you have a little graduation ceremony?" She continued on.
I gave her a 'really?' face, "It's virtual school so no."
She furrowed her brows and pursed her lips, "Why do you have to be such a little brat? You need to learn to respect me."
Ally jumped into the conversation like a Mama Lion should when it's child is cornered by a Jaguar, "Don't you dare talk to her like that. How can you expect her to respect you if you can't respect her?"
"Who do you think you are coming into this conversation? You have no right." Mary raised her voice.
I also got into the convo to protect my true Mom, "Never EVER talk to Ally like that. First of all, she's right because I don't respect you and if you haven't got it through your head, I never will. Ally is more of a Mom to me than you'll ever be." I let the words fall from my mouth without thinking about anyone else around me. My mind was over taking me and mixing with intense stress.
"She will never be your Mother!" Mary spat.
I stood up from my seat to have her look up at me for once, "She can and she is. She has took care of me when I'm sick, held my hand when I was scared, fed me, and made sure I was healthy every day I was in her presence. She never once ignored me for weeks on end or left me in the house for months to take care of
myself. She's never beat me, but picked me up and bandaged me when I got hurt. She is my Mom, and that's something you'll never know how to be."

I could see the steam basically rise from Mary's head hearing my rant. She just stared at me like she was going to kill me, but kept her mouth shut. Ally grabbed my hand to pull me and sit down. Not once did my glare leave Mary's. I meant every word I said.
