"This is the only time I will say this. Show off your skills. Do the best you can do, and don't show off your survival skills. Go for the weapons they score higher. You want at least above a seven. Leo if your score lower it's alright people will pity you and find that adorable, Cypress with you melting the capitals hearts yesterday, you need to score high since they are expecting you to go home to your mother understand." Leo and I nod our heads as we walk into the elevator.

"You got this kids." Roland breathed for the first time since he started talking. The elevator opened to a very long intimidating hallway.

"I can't watch but, I know you can do it." He pats our shoulders as he pushes us out the elevator. "Good luck." He said as the doors closed.

"Come on Leo." I put my hand on his shoulder. We are in our training wear. A long sleeve red and black shirt with our district numbers on the side. And black pants.

I over heard Blossom and Roland talking about it.

"Blossom you work in the capital you should know!" I hear Roland whisper shout. "Roland, for the last time! Their keeping the games a secret from us. All I know is when it starts. I'm in the same boat with you."

"I'm so confused every year the tributes wear short sleeve for training. Why change it? I just know somethings weird about these games. I mean we are starting earlier!" "I mean. It is the 70th hunger games do you think that has anything to do with it?" Silence falls over the room.

"Cypress I'm nervous!" "Don't be, you'll do fine." I keep my words short and sweet since I'm also extremely nervous.

We walked into the room and sit on the district five bench. My leg bounces up and down.

"ZAYNE DISTRICT ONE! YOU MAY ENTER!"

He gave everyone a smug look and walked in. Since the room was so quiet Leo and I didn't talk.

"LEO DISTRICT FIVE! YOU MAY ENTER!"

It seems like I'm a matter of seconds it was Leo's turn. I give him a slight thumbs up as he walked in.

Please let him do well. He's in the best position places low people will be sensitive towards him places high he's the underdog no one thought of.

Thoughts of him messing up continued until my name was called.

"CYPRESS DISTRICT FIVE! YOU MAY ENTER!"

I walked in with confidence that I was of course faking.

Since we are district five we are right in the middle so if we don't do something grand, they'll forget us.

Breathe Cypress.

I walked into what looked like the training room. But much bigger. I look up to see men looking down at me like I was their prey.

I swallow hard trying not to show my nerves. I look around the room at all stations. Swords, bow and arrow, throwing knives, axes and survival.

"You have three minutes." I look up to see one of the game makers. Three minutes make them count.

I walk up to the swords. My hand shakes as I pick up the handle. "Excuse me." I look at one of the trainers. "Can you help me?" They shrugged as I threw the sword at them to catch.

I quickly grab a sword for me and lunged at the person, making them jump back holding the sword in a defense position.

With the slice of metal hitting together it catches the attention of the game makers.

"Is that the best you got?" I taunt at the person behind the mask. I hear them huff making me smirk.

I run towards them their sword it out but I block it making a gliding noise of metal. I grab a hold of the back of their neck making me fly in the air as I land I sweep out their leg. They dropped the sword as I stand above them readying my sword to go threw their head.

But I stopped. As the tip of my sword hit their helmet.

What's happening to me. I quickly move and hold a hand out to help them up. This isn't who I wanted to be. This isn't who I am.

I hear claps from above making me mad. "Your sick you know!" I yell before I can make myself stop.

"Glad you got a show." I sit the sword down and walk out.

I would have gotten a good score but I talked back, so the odds aren't in my favor.
