Well, I am updating this chapter just to notify you guys that yes, the first book of 'Remember Me' has ended. Funny how this story stumbled into my brain during a heavy rainy day, around a year back, and I thought to make it into a short story, but then you guys welcomed it soo gladly that I ended up switching it into a longer version with a new plot line.
Yes, through out the story I tried to mislead you all a trillion times. Many fell for it, many were already immune to it, and the rest just stayed J-Hope.
So now, as we came to the end of the first book, let me reveal some TMI about 'Remember Me' to y'all.
Behind The Story :
At first, when I wrote 'Remember Me', I only wanted it to be a short story with a theme of 'unrequited love', where Ji-U pours out her feelings for Taehyung to us.
Second, when I decided to switch it into a longer version, I knew I definitely have to add alot more spices to the plot line too. So I came with the idea of JK~ You all might have already figured out by now that both Ji-U & JK are two different people. But let me tell you that according to my second plot line, they weren't. I didn't want to go with a cliche or the same old triangle story lines, cuz let's be honest, we all are tired of it. Then one day my twisted brain just realized that how I have never came across any fanfiction where the female lead was actually the male lead before. The thought alone blew my mind, so I decided to blend this idea to 'Remember Me' by making Ji-U and Jk as the same person who went under a Sex Reassignment Surgery. It literally seemed like a unique theme to me.
But as I wrote more and more about Ji-U, I got fond of the character, thus I changed my mind by dropping that one-hell-of-a-theme and decided to go along with a new theme where Ji-U will be her own person, not JK, which eventually brings us to the third and final plot line of the story.
According, to the current theme, Ji-U & JK are two different individuals, but I still wanted to expose y'all to the actual theme I desired for this book, that's why I mentioned about Sex Reassignment Surgery inbetween the story. That was me kinda fullfilling my dropped plot line for this book, hehe. Who ever fell for it, I love you. And who ever didn't, I love your brain.
I read all your theories regarding the story. Some were off the track, some were in the track, and some....out of this freaking universe! And let me say, I loved reading them all, for it made me realize how deep you are actually into the story.
About The Story :
As you already know, 'Remember Me' was all about Ji-U's POV with dates, which happens in the year of 2019, that means from the past. But the epilogue was Taehyung's POV, which is from the present. Tae, Yoongi, Lisa, Hwasa, Whein, Jack, Eunwoo, Purple guy...all being the part of Ji-U's POV. So is Taehyung's, except he also has JK in it. But in the epilogue you can clearly see how Ji-U doesn'trecognize any of them, except for Yoongi and JK. You also can notice Taehyung revealing about a diary in the epilogue. Now, if you go back and re-watch the trailer, you can see a diary there too. Twice.
There are several other clues dropped here and there in the story too. Like the lavender candles, 7th of every month, the token of appreciation, Yoongi being sus as hell, the cliff, the bones, the abdominal scars etc. And from Tae's side ; the phone calls,the drunk night, the slap marks and of course...Rosé. You can see more into him through the photoframes that Ji-U found in his bedroom.
As messy as it looks, trust me when I say you this, the story is pretty simple. But I wrote it in a twisted manner because.....why not? *laughs devilishly*
About The Sequel :
RM-1 was all about Ji-U's POV, which was mostly about her love for rain, oceans and....Taehyung. If you look closer, you can see the very same fact is depicted in the trailer, even in the cover page of the book.
But then you see the trailer suddenly ending with Jungkook, being all bright and jovial, almost like summer, which brings us to the Sequel. As I have mentioned before, JK will have his own book, where he will be the shining star, for Taehyung already had his fair share in the first one.
So yeah, let me take this moment to introduce the sequel of 'Remember Me' to y'all. Actually.......not sequel, but PREQUEL (pre sequel).

So yeah, this book is not S-2, but S-0.5, and we have already finished S-1. It will take me a bit of time (probably monthssss) to publish this book, because I have some other unfinished work waiting for me here. So I hope until then, you will wait in patience and won't forget "Remember Me".
