Same evening...
"Apply."
-Is the first thing that I said to you.
You looked down to my hand carrying a small ointment tube for bruises.
"Ji-"
"Just shut up and apply."
Your eyes widening for a second at the way I spoke. Nonetheless, you took the cream from me with out a single word. Pressing your lips into a thin line, your eyes went back on me, blinking, waiting for some sort of response.
But to your dismay I said nothing more as I rested my bag beside your sofa where I always used to during the past. Taking off my denim jacket, I rolled the sleeves of my white shirt and made way through the broken pieces of glass and torn papers on the floor.
"Where are you going?"
-Your voice, confused. Could feel your eyes solely lingered on me, though I prefered to play blind.
"Ji-U?"
"To the kitchen."
-I muttered, picking up the poor lavenders from the shattered vase on the floor and placing it on the empty vase table beside.
"Kitchen? Wae?"
"When was the last time you ate something?"
You paused. Contemplating.
"This morning."
I scoffed, halting on my spot with my back facing you. I roamed my eyes all over the place and then looked over my shoulder to you.
"Yeah right. Evidently."
Your eyes narrowed catching my sarcasm, yet you said nothing, for you knew I caught your lies. You made it way too obvious this time after all. Thus, you could barely deny. But again, your defense mechanism was still on.
"Don't bother."
-You said with a stoic face.
I huffed out an annoyed sigh, palming my forehead.
"Okay then, I will just leave."
-Pulling down my sleeves, I turned around, aiming my jacket and bag.
"Left!"
-You exclaimed quickly before I could take one more step, almost startling me. Clearing your throat you spoke again, back with the calmer tone.
"The kitchen. Towards the left."
-You completed blankly averting your eyes from me. Clenching on the ointment tube, you spun away and marched into your room.
So did I to the kitchen, starting with my work, only to get pissed at the very first second for the entire refrigerator was found empty, except for the two eggs and a single tin of spam.
"Rich who?"
-I exhaled in exasperation.
Thankfully I found two packets of kimchi ramen in upper shelves.
"Will do I guess."
Wasting no second, I dived into my job, getting a bit hard time to familiarize myself with the delux utensils and stove, for I was used to the local ones.
Funny how I came here for something else, and here I am doing an entire different thing.
I huffed at myself. Such a hypocrite I am.
