24) Truth

Ava was tracked her private hallway and was surprised to see a women sneak behind Mew.

Mew used her key card and entered and she sneaked in before the doors closed.

How was she able to? Any unknown person shouldn't be able to access VIP elevators.

" I'll be back in 10 minutes . Emergency . I'll send someone to substitute if needed. " She announced to the people in meeting .

She rushed but felt someone gently hold her hand.
" Maam, please be back before 12, I'll wait. I'm here to meet you. Hoping to catch a casual talk after the meeting" A pale skinned , tall,handsome and muscular yet decent looking guy said with a smile.

Ava just nodded  and sped.

She doesn't entertain personal talks with clients sand business partners. Handsome or not.

She just doesn't want to lash at him just in case he meant nothing bad or was set up by her parents.

She mentally rolled her eyes.

For some reasons , he gave her mysterious vibe.

" Oh hell" Ava who hurried to the private room cursed seeing a lady's back, cursed still in the doorway.

" Miss. Honey , immediately call the security department and inform No. 77  of the breach…" Ava told her secretary who should be behind her without even looking back.
She was about March in….

" No need.its mom "
" Wait"

Ava heard the two speak at once.

Oh.

" Honey, it's fine don't call the security.." she turned to stop her secretary hoping she wasn't too late.

" What ma'am?" Her secretary asked removing her earpods.

Nvm, she wasn't late.

" You're fired if i see you with airpods at work again" Ava spoke.

" You? Aren't you  Mr.Zane's  daughter, the one my husband tried to set Mew up with?" Mew's mom asked.

Then her frown deepened and she made a face as if she understood something.

" Oh god I got it now, didn't you tell you aren't interested in Mew? " She asked Ava.

" Mew, she is the one you got preg.."

" Ewwww stop it aunty" Ava cut her off.

" I still say the same thing, we aren't interested in each other." She said.

" You guys dated ?" Gulf sounded betrayed.

" Heck no, "

" Noooo"

Gulf heard the two reply.

" They were supposed to date, but turned it down" Mama added.

'Good, but still they have a lot to explain' Gulf thought. He was almost going to confess he was the one who Mew got pregnant out of irritation.

" So, who is it then?" Mama was exhausted.
" Tell me now Mew. You know you're dad won't be happy, I'll just convince her into marriage." Mama spoke.

Mew looked at Ava with begging eyes.

" No one is pregnant aunty" Ava confidently lied.

" Those scans?" Mama asked challengingly.

" I gave it to him by mistake. It got exchanged with Gulf's CT scan he had for his headache. " Ava sounded convincing.

Mew's and Gulf's jaw mentally dropped at how smoothly Ava lied.

" Really, let me check the names. " Mama snached the scans from Mew's hand.

The scan ofc had no name so she inspected the cover and file .

Mew grew nervous. He wanted to tell his mom truth but not like this.

He wasn't even able to form words.His mom seemed upset and shocked , he didn't want to scare her further at this moment. He just wants her to cool down.

" Mrs: Mary and Mr. Andrew" mama read the couple name written.

" Why was he in OBG department then….?" Mama asked.

"It's near my conference hall. I had a meeting and opted to wait there for Mew and Mr Andrew. "

Mama looked semi convinced. She just drank some water.

Mew relaxed. He should talk to Gulf about informing their parents. Last time he refused firmly.

" Mew, you looked so happy seeing that scan. Please tell me what's the truth before she convinces me to fully believe that I was just overthinking. I just don't  want you to be in trouble."Mama said facing Mew

" Mew tell her." Gulf said in a quiet voice.

He wasn't sure if he was ready to share it. Mew and he just started. He doesn't want it taken away or disturbed. But he knows mama is genuinely worried.

" Gulf ma" he said.

" So you came here to help your ex crush sorry ex costar with his girlfriend's pregna" mama sounded sour .

" Ma I got him pregnant" Mew answered, ready to catch his mom if she faints.
