33) Let it go

" Nice rings." Gulf chuckled into Mew's ears as they danced to slow music.

" Thank you, my fiance chose them after all . " Mew had a teasing smirk.

" Oh, looks like he's a person with great taste." Gulf praised himself, continuing Mew's little game.

" Ofcourse, just look at the man he picked for himself." Mew looked down at himself then at Gulf with a victory smile.

" You guys realize that you're engaged and don't have to flirt right?" Mew's sister looked at the two with a weirded out expression.

" And do you realize that  eavesdropping can be annoying?" Mew raised a brow while side hugging Gulf.

" Ah, Mew, I asked her to get you two. Don't want Gulf to get tired, na? You two should head to your table for drinks." Mew's mom cut in.

" No drinks for Gulf… the doctor asked me to tell you. '' Gulf's sister joined, making Gulf groan .

" They are a beautiful couple , right?" Raiden asked Ava.

Ava just nodded thoughtfully looking at the couple.

" Anything troubling you Love, I mean Ava?" Rai asked unconvinced by her response.

" I don't know. I just feel like it's all too fast." She siped her drink.

" You say it's fast? I'd say it's not. Like Gulfie wanted to get married before showing and he is just a month away from looking visibly pregnant according to what you said…"

" She didn't mean it, young man" Dr.Bun who was close to them intervined to cut the tension off.

" Oh"

" Dr. Bun, hope you're having a good evening ." Ava's eyes glowed with admiration.

" Yeah, me and Tan haven't been to an engagement party in years. Nice to see young birds getting hitched. " He laughed and Ava joined too.

" Now back to what you were wondering," He asked, tasting his champagne.

" Ah, I know I'm being the sour candy  here, I'm happy for them and all. But you know I wonder if any of this would have happened if not for the baby in the first place." She spoke little uncomfortable.

" Well, now that they are together, that's all that matters . Right? Overthinking can ruin the beauty of life..you should go with the flow sometimes, Miss ambitious and successful entrepreneur. " Bun smiled.

Ava laughed and nodded in agreement , looking star struck as Mr.Bun left her.

" He's amazing. Right?" A voice brought her out of haze.

" Oh. He sure is, mr." Ava trailed off.

" Tan. I'm Tan. Bun's husband. " He gave her a smile.

" oh.. I'm Ava, nice to know you Mr.Tan." Ava politely smiled.

" Same here. Bun mentioned you a few times. Didn't expect for you to be his fangirl though." Tan teased.

" Oh no.. I just admire him. You know he's a role model kind of thing…"

" Calm down . Pretty lady. I was just joking. You should probably get on the floor and party hard. After all your friends got engaged.  Don't worry too much, today isn't the day for it. "

Hence, it turns out that this day wasn't really the day for worrying.

Mew for once in a long time, let go of all his apprehension, and ambition in favour of cherishing the moment.

Gulf let go of his thoughts about his mom , and his own questions too, having fun with friends,in laws and his family that is his dad , sister and as well as his adopted ma Ava and adopted pa Rai. He was after all busy deciding the wedding date while partying.

Mew's father let go of his own sour thoughts and hate . Afterall hating Gulf was never easy and definitely impossible after seeing the girl he chose for Mew with another guy.

Gulf's father and sister let go of their guilt for hiding this from his mom.

Dr.Bun and his husband let go of the longing for the child they never had .

Ava let go of her worries about her friends, Raiden let go of his fear of losing his loved one.
