The area they had been given needed work, with browning grass and over grown brushes, it would take time to make it look good.

"How bad did your mom busted you over wrecking Sean's car" Emily asked Hanna.

After Lottie left the party to meet up with Toby, Hanna had stolen Sean's car then crashed it. Owen had mentioned it over breakfast that morning, after that he asked if she knew about the party, in particular if she knew about the under age drinking.
Her answer had been, "well it was a Noel party, who doesn't know what happens there".

"Okay, I did not wreck it. I damaged it" Hanna relied offended. "And actually everyone's being really mature about it".

Lottie sniggered.
"Oh" Emily nodded.
"There is no Oh, it's adults that's all" Hanna said.

Aria already had a plan on how they would transform the overgrown spot of grass, they would be getting a new bench from the city, and they would plant flowerbeds and make a pathway with art tiles with messages, pictures and memories of Alison.

" You know I have the bracelet Alison since the day we found it  in the woods and I do not want this responsibility anymore" Hanna reached into her bag showing Ali bracelet.
Lottie shook her head, "hard pass".

"Seriously, somebody take this" Hanna demanded.
Spencer pulled at face taking the bracelet from Hanna, "Look at you, a bunch of babies! There is nothing that A can do or say to get us in trouble without making trouble for herself".

"Are we sure it's a 'her'?" Lottie objected.
"Him, Her. It doesn't make any difference" Spencer told everyone pulling her laptop out of her bag.

" What are you doing?" Lottie questioned.
"I'm gonna  block all messages from people that I don't know. IMs, text, e-mails, everything. Screw "A", there. Who's next?".

Lottie took the laptop from Spencer, then she gave it to the next person. The relief was immediate, no more jumping each time her phone rang. She gave the laptop to the next person, sat back and exhaled.

After class, Lottie went to her locker to swap her Maths book for her History one, inside taped to the door was a folded piece of paper, she put her head to the side then look around her, the hallway was busy but no one stood out.

In red ink something was written, read me x. More confused she pulled the tape off and opened the paper. A wave a freshly printed ink hit her, in the corner she saw more writing in red ink it read, what would you're friends do if they got their hands on this? -A

Her mouth fell open as she scanned the page, her first letter to Toby. in the same red A had underlined the worse lines she had written.

Toby,
